In the 2:00 PM weather forecast issued by DOST PAGASA, it has been brought to the attention of residents in the provinces of Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Bulacan that they should remain vigilant as these areas are currently placed under a yellow alert level due to the potential flooding brought by tropical storm ENTENG. This alert suggests the likelihood of moderate winds combined with occasional rains, which are expected to persist until 5 AM tomorrow, September 3, 2024.
On the track forecast, ENTENG may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday (September 4). Further intensification is forecast to occur from Wednesday onwards, with ENTENG reaching severe tropical storm category on Wednesday and typhoon category on Friday (6 September).

Hey, Angelites! Did you know that ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ช๐๐๐ง๐๐ช๐ก๐ค๐จ๐๐จ ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ is celebrated every August 19th. ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ (๐๐) is a contagious disease caused by the bacterium โ๐๐บ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฃ๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ต๐ถ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ค๐ถ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ด๐ช๐ด,โ which primarily affects the lungs and can spread throughout parts of the body. This date, August 19th, is significant since it is the birth anniversary of President Manuel L. Quezon, who was the first president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines. Quezon himself died of tuberculosis in 1944; thatโs why TB highlights the impact of the disease in the Philippines.๐ท

As we come together to commemorate this important event in the wake of Typhoon Carina, it is essential to recognize that our resilience should not be overshadowed by mere romanticization. Our views on resilience with accountability should be balance. While it is tempting to laud our ability to withstand adversity and cherish the solidarity that emerges within our communities, we must also hold those in power responsible for providing support in difficult times. This celebration should not devolve into empty tributes or rhetorics; instead, it must serve as a reminder of our inherent dignity and worth. We find ourselves at a crossroads where resilience is necessary, but it must be accompanied by a rightful demand for justice and tangible support from those who have the means to enact change. The challenges we face require more than just a resilient spirit; they call for proactive measures, genuine commitment, and actionable solutions from our leaders. As we celebrate, let it be a moment that emphasizes both our collective strength and calls for accountability, ensuring our future needs are prioritized and addressed genuinely and effectively.
Let this call to action not just be relevant this month but resonate throughout the entire year and beyond, as we collectively strive to create a lasting impact on the issues that matter most to our communities.
Angelites, letโs be voices of change and make a difference! ๐๐

The recent Typhoon Carina has caused significant damage, including the loss of connectivity for some students. In light of this, and with the shift to synchronous classes, the Holy Angel University โ University Student Council (HAU-USC) is once again launching the HAUwak Kamay program. The main goal of this is to assist our fellow Angelites who are struggling due to the effects of the typhoon.
To support our students, the council is offering load assistance, enabling them to attend their classes despite the challenges. Hence, if you are a student at Holy Angel University experiencing difficulty attending synchronous classes due to the recent typhoon, you may be eligible for this.
To inquire about this assistance, please message the official page of HAU-USC.
