Ang sabi ko, life’s tragedies are not something that we celebrate. Sino bang motivated to post na naaksidente, nagkasakit or namatay ng biglaan ang mahal nila sa buhay? At kung meron man, it would be the least of their concerns during the difficult time their going through.

ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ 5 > SSS Membership
Nung fresh graduate ako, nakisabay ako sa sister kong corporate employee magapply ng SSS. Dahil pareho naman kaming walang alam, E-1 Form yung in-apply ko katulad niya 😄 2 years after paying contributions, nalaman ko na dapat RS-1 Form pala kaya lahat ng past contributions in-adjust lang din kung kelan na-file yung RS-1 ko 🤦🏼‍♀️

ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ 4 > Loan Application (car, home, personal)
Napakadaming hinihinging requirements at lahat yun ikaw ang magpprepare. Wala ka naman kasing HR na record keeper, yung isang hingi mo lang i-email sayo. Sariling pag-organize ng documents at minsan sa paghahanap ng requirements for loan, mari-realize mo na may mga na-miss ka pa palang asikasuhin na document or may na-misplace na form. Lagot 😁

ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ 3 > HMO and Insurance Subscription
Dahil walang company-provided, ikaw ang maghahanap ng different HMO and insurance brands. You’ll conduct due diligence to ensure na you’re getting a quality brand, it’s a trial and error process. Pag may bad experience ka na, dun mo lang minsan malalaman na ibang brand pala yung dapat mong kinuha. Key is to find a trusted agent. And of course, this is not subsidized by the company kaya shoulder mo lahat ng premiums.

Ayoko na lang mag-talk 😆 Kung wala kang time aralin ng husto at asikasuhin, best way is to hire an accountant. Pero ingat din kasi madaming nagkalat na pseudo.

Ang isang SEP usually may higher income range and he’s used to a relatively comfortable life. When he retires, he wants to maintain this standard of living. He knows that SSS retirement benefits will not suffice so while still earning, he tries to acquire various investments with long-term perspective. Para pag nag-retire, may source of significant retirement allowance.
