Online registration for the in-person GASTPE Regional Orientation Conferences on the implementation of the ESC, TSS and SHS VP in SY 2024-2025 will open and close on specified dates for the different regions.

All participating schools are required to attend the orientation conferences. Attendance in the orientation conferences has also been made a pre-requisite to the access to the billing facility of the ESC Information Management System (ESC IMS) and SHS Voucher Management System (SHS VMS).

Re: USG appeal amidst extreme heat

After the USG and the Lasallian community appealed for mechanisms to counter the extreme heat, the VCAA shared the following decisions by the HEU Leadership Council:

✅ On days with recorded 𝟰𝟬 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿, all students are allowed to come in their most comfortable yet decent 𝗰𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲.

‼️ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 but to

: With a heat index forecasted to reach 43 degrees Celsius in the upcoming days, HEU classes will be shifted to ASYNCHRONOUS SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING. For courses requiring in-person activities such as defense, teaching demonstrations, lab experiments, and hospital duties, there will be an option for face-to-face meetings onsite or online via Zoom to better facilitate the attainment of the learning outcomes.

This decision and adjustments follow a thorough evaluation by the Higher Education Unit, which has determined that a 43-degree Celsius heat index is the minimum threshold for transitioning to asynchronous self-directed learning for students.

Today, we reflect in gratitude as we celebrate the Feast Day of our Founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle. Founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Patron Saint of Teachers, and 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴.

Hundreds of years later and we look at the zealous young people, and dedicated teachers, Brothers, and partners. We realize and remain thankful that the Mission has brought together a Community.

OVCAA declares asynch classes next week

In light of the holidays Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9 and Eid'l-Fitr on the 10th, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA) has announced the shift of Higher Education Unit classes to asynchronous mode for April 8 and 10.

The advisory holds exceptions for the College of Nursing, Medicine, and Law in consideration of departmental procedures.
