The BA Communication Department of the University of St. La Salle, in collaboration with the Communication Society USLS, held the culminating activity for the Communication students who enrolled to the annual summer elective film classes where attendees of students and faculty were dazzled with performances, games, and showcases of the students' outputs.

The 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐔𝐒𝐋𝐒 congratulates one of its very own, incoming third-year student Marianel Tam, for placing in the Top 8 of the Miss World Philippines 2024 Head-to-Head Track challenge, where she and her peers will battle it out at the Head-to-Head finals on Monday, July 8, to secure a spot in the Miss World Philippines semi-finals. Tan also won the Social Media award for the event, one of the Fast Track challenges.

The coronation night sets its eyes on July 19, at the Mall of Asia arena.

On June 28, the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐔𝐒𝐋𝐒 hosted the annual Pride Event, 𝗞𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗹𝗮! The event started with the Communication faculty, Mrs. Hannah Papasin-Mariveles, and featured esteemed guest speakers like Mx. Ghillean Pranz Fegidero of Negros Pride and Mr. Rey Provido of LGBTQ Bacolod. They shared insightful talks on the history of Pride, the first Pride march in the Philippines, and their personal journeys within the Pride movement. The Green Party, facilitated by the University Gender and Development Center, held its fourth installment.

With engaging discussions, heartwarming stories, and inspiring testimonies, the event concluded successfully and vibrantly—embracing all the colors of the rainbow. Here are some memorable moments captured from the event.

Ultimately, it will give all Lasallians a platform to express themselves freely as who they are.

The 2nd Year Communication students launched "Tamyaw Negrense," a photography exhibit showcasing the culture and heritage of Negros at Artfull Gallery. The event featured prominent Bacolod photographer Aeson Baldevia, who emphasized the importance of giving attention to photography alongside traditional art forms like painting.
