We are inviting our parents to attend the upcoming 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in preparation for the S.Y. 2024-2025. This program is an excellent opportunity to provide information about our school’s programs, policies, and understand what we have planned for our students’ academic journey through holistic formation. This program will be held in our TSC Gymnasium. Please be guided to the schedule as seen in this post.

The whole gang is here. As they should be because all of them are important. I tell people and clients all the time that our emotions can be our greatest teachers and protectors if we listen to them and let them. The hard ones can teach us about the things we care about, situations we need to get out of, boundaries…so, a reminder today that it’s okay to feel what you need to feel ❤️

Our words can speak a sacred truth into the crevices of our children's hearts or bring them to their knees. Our words matter.

Parents, caregivers, and even siblings can make use of simple scripts and games to help a child who might be feeling anxious. Try this variation of a breathing exercise for young and imaginative children!

"Hey there! Feeling anxious or stressed? Let's do a short breathing game. Imagine a fresh batch of yummy cookies coming out of the oven. Slowly inhale the scent of the cookies, then gradually blow out to cool them down. Let's keep doing this until we start to feel better, okay?"

This kind of relaxation technique allows a child who feels anxious to calm down while recognizing the things they can control like their own breathing. Additionally, using their imagination, children can become more engaged and interested in the activity.

Alternatively, baking actual cookies can be therapeutic for all ages. More so, trying the breathing game with real food allows for a more grounded experience of the present by noticing the scent and the temperature, rather than just imagining it. Not to mention, it's also a nice opportunity for bonding!

The 5 Love Languages is a book by Gary Chapman that explores how everyone has a preferred way to receive love from other people. I wanted to explore how we can turn those ideas toward ourselves with self-love languages.
Most of us need a little bit from each category but what's your go-to when you're feeling low?
