UC STEM students present Materials Engineering Research at 6th DLSU SHS Research Congress

Four students from UC Integrated School, Stacy Eleoriene T. Arzadon, Jezreel V. Hernandez, Ara Isybelle T. Manalo, and Jamaeca Whine A. Payduan, showcased their research at the 6th De La Salle University (DLSU) Senior High School (SHS) Research Congress in June 2024.

Their study, guided by adviser Ms. Illuminada S. Menzi, explored the use of Titanium Dioxide and Corncob Activated Carbon as an admixture in concrete to function as a photocatalyst. Presented under the Materials Engineering theme, the research highlighted innovative approaches to sustainable construction.

Their research paper is set to be published in the DLSU Animo Repository.

STEM students showcase software-based research at the 6th DLSU SHS Congress

Nathaniel C. Mondero, Erich Jane S. Cando, Ralph David B. Garcia, and Hannah Pearl O. Salvador, from the UC Integrated School STEM Strand, presented their research regarding the evaluation of an IoT-based parking system web application at the 6th De La Salle University (DLSU) Senior High School (SHS) Research Congress in June 2024.

With their adviser, Mr. Merino A. Bantasan, their study was under the category Computer, Software Technology, and Robotics.

DLSU will be publishing their research paper on Animo Repository.

HUMSS students present Social Science Research at 6th DLSU SHS Congress

Vhinx Jazen G. Laguyo, Janoah Jamin L. Abibuag, Danica Joyce B. Tagure, and Skylhar B. Custodio from the UC Integrated School's HUMSS strand presented their research on the impact of pretty privilege on male senior high school students at the 6th De La Salle University (DLSU) Senior High School Research (SHS) Congress in June 2024.

Their study, guided by advisers Mr. Tsude B. De Vera and Ms. Girlie C. Jimenez, was featured in the Gender, Human Development, and the Individual category; to be published by DSLU.

HUMSS students showcase Gender-Based Research at 6th DLSU SHS Congress

Beverly A. Pappa, Louise Lynn G. Saingan, Keithlene A. Gawigawen, and Caleb Nash A. Masigman, students from the UC Integrated School HUMSS strand, presented their research on LGBTQIA+ family trauma in films at the 6th De La Salle University (DLSU) Senior High School (SHS) Research Congress in June 2024.

Guided by their advisers, Mr. Tsude B. De Vera and Ms. Girlie C. Jimenez, the group used the Bowlby-Ainsworth Theory to explore trauma under the theme of Gender, Human Development, and the Individual of the said Research Congress.

Their paper will be published by DLSU.

HUMSS students highlight social science research at 6th DLSU SHS Congress

John Uriel P. Martinez, Jesse Manuel A. Pimentel, and James Kristoffer L. Santos, from the UC Integrated School HUMSS strand, presented their research on cultivating social awareness among college students through community involvement at the 6th De La Salle University (DLSU) Senior High School (SHS) Research Congress in June 2024.

Guided by their adviser, Ms. Girlie C. Jimenez, the study was featured under the theme of Family, Relations, and Social Structures.

Their paper has been accepted for publication in DLSU's Animo Repository.
