The School of Information Technology held its recognition event at the Baler Convention Center in Barangay Reserva, Baler, Aurora on July 13. The event celebrated the achievements and contributions of students, parents and faculty.
Dr. Mayreen V. Amazona, Dean of the School of Information Technology, introduced the esteemed guest speaker, Ms. Lara Melissa Cabig, who served as the President of AITECHS in 2012. Ms. Cabig shared her insights and experiences, inspiring the attendees with her speech.
“You don’t need to compare with anyone else, you only need to compare with yourself. Just start with trying to be better than who you were and what you did yesterday.” Ms. Cabig said in her speech.
Geoco Jonn Rigor from Application Programming 4- A delivered a heartfelt speech of gratitude, acknowledging the support and contributions of the school's community in achieving their collective goals.
The event concluded with a photo session, capturing the memorable moments of the day and the camaraderie among the attendees.
This recognition event highlighted the School of Information Technology's commitment to excellence and its role in shaping future leaders in the tech industry.

June 21, 2024 | Friday: The ASCOT School of Information Technology celebrated a major step forward in local cybersecurity efforts by supporting the launch and official activation of the Philippine Institute of Cyber Security Professionals (Aurora Chapter). The event, held at Sentro Baler, sought to raise cybersecurity awareness among the youth and the larger community through its Cyber Security Conference with the theme, “Cyber Safe Teens and Cyber Safe Community”. The activity saw enthusiastic participation from youth organizations, students, local officials, and community leaders, along with key figures from PICSPro National, including Founder and Chairman Angel Redoble.
Dr. Mayreen V. Amazona, Dean of ASCOT’s School of IT, delivered an inspiring message of support, highlighting the significant role of cybersecurity in today’s digital age. She emphasized that it is our collective responsibility to protect our digital data and the importance of education and advocacy in fostering a safer online environment.
The ASCOT School of Information Technology is committed to continuing its collaboration with PICSPro to provide youth and the larger community with the information and skills they need to safely navigate the digital world. This partnership marks the beginning of a concerted effort to build a resilient cybersecurity framework in Aurora.
June 13, 2024 | Thursday : ASCOT - School of Information Technology took part in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill ( ). Faculty, staff, and students practiced the Duck, Cover, and Hold safety drill, increasing their preparedness in the event of an earthquake.
