Sa isinagawang survey ng Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) kaugnay sa panukalang nais ibalik ang Mandatory ROTC, hindi pabor ang majority sa mga mag-aaral na Katoliko.

Ayon sa mga sumagot ng hindi pabor, additional burden ang mandatory ROTC sa maraming mag-aaral at daragdag din ito sa gastusin ng kanilang mga pamilya.

Matatandaan na inihinto ang Mandatory ROTC noong 2002 dahil sa isyu ng korapsyon at mga pang-aabuso.
