Dr. Amelita Dayrit-Go together with the evaluators from the National Office visited the Community Based Troop of Batangas City Council from Malitam ES with 32 committed IP Junior Girl Scouts with their Project SERVE (Supporting and Enhancing Responsible IPs through Value-laden Engagements) last April 22, 2024 at Sitio Bajauan, Brgy. Malitam, Batangas City.

The 1 year project focused on Nutrition, character development and encouraging responsible womanhood with the help of the dedicated Troop Leaders, community members and other NGO’s.

As beneficiaries of the Gulayan in their area, the Junior Girl Scouts and their parents discussed how the initiative benefited their children and other community members. 💚🍀

After a year of implementing the Indigenous People Junior Girl Scouts and Malitam Elementary School's PROJECT SERVE (Supporting and Enhancing Responsible IP's through Value-laden Engagements) for Dr. Amelita Dayrit-Go Community Based Troop Membership Project, the community embarked on a new milestone in their journey.

The Regional Evaluation took place, March 21, at Bajaoan Community in Brgy. Malitam, Batangas City. The event was headed by Regional Executive Director Ms. Vicky Uy, Technical Assistant Ms. Liza Venzuela, and Regional Chairperson Hon. Eloisa Angela Portugal.

The project centered to one of the GSP SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Society that involves nutrition, self confidence, character building and responsible womanhood.

Their backyard gardening project has been instrumental in providing essential food for the community from the plants they cultivated. This initiative has made a significant impact by introducing an alternative and sustainable source of livelihood, teaching valuable skills in planting that will benefit the community in the long term. Furthermore, their efforts to plant mangroves demonstrate their commitment to preventing potential landslides in the area.

Through these actions, they are not only proving themselves as "Badjao" but also as "Goodjao," actively contributing to the betterment of their community.

Hello, Girls! Are you ready to witness the creative entries of our dear Girl Scouts? They are so brave to express those unthought-out feelings that we often keep hidden deep inside. You know, the ones that we're afraid to share because we think no one will understand or accept them.

But with "Scribing Secrets from the Heart," it is giving us the opportunity to let those feelings out through the power of poetry. It's incredible to see the range of emotions and experiences that people are expressing through their poems. From heartbreak to joy, from fear to courage, every entry is a unique and powerful expression of unthought-out feelings. Each poem is like a window into someone's soul, and it's truly inspiring to see so many people being vulnerable and honest with their words.
