TAU GAMMA PHI - Aga & Bayabasan Community Chapters

The Regional Tarantula is an adaptation of the original 25 from UP Diliman. Two of the original 25 who already passed away recently (hint) were co-founders of other U-Belt Chapters: Adamson University in 1973 and UE Recto in 1974.

The concept of the Tarantula as a 'strike force' is offensive in nature, and goes against the 'protest against the violent Frat system' in the colleges and universities then, as well as against "Cap R", which stresses 'defend' and not 'offend'.

There were 25. But the first 25 did not battle with 100. More like 40. The concept of the "Tarantula" started with U.P. Diliman Chapter GT Jun Flor, MDG of the Charter Batch 1969 ( School year 1972-73) who produced 37 new Triskelions during his term. The group was first deployed in the term of GT Florence Atanacio, MDG Eagle 1970. Of the original 25, five have passed on, and so 20 still remain. The model was adopted by the existing chapters of the Regional Council at the time, although the mechanics varied slightly from the original. I say let us sleeping dogs lie, or more likely, keep it under your hats. Let us protect the identity of the surviving members.

Bawat Triskelion ay pwedeng maging Tarantula, Hindi lamang sa pakikipag laban (FratWar) kundi sa pag gawa ng mabuti. Pag angat ng pangalan ng Kapatiran sa larangan ng edukasyon at pagtulong sa kapwa at komunidad.

Napakaraming problema ng frat sa kasalukuyan. May naglalabas ng FS na hindi naman Triskelion at nangangahas pa na magbenta nito. Mayroon din nagbebenta ng COL sa peke o kolorum. Meron din nagkakanlong sa peke o kolorum. May gumagawa din ng sipi ng Tenets & Code of Conduct na mayroon nang sariling interpretation or explanation ang bawat tenet na nakasaad ayon sa sariling interpretasyon ng gumawa nito. At marami pang iba..

Ang pinakamalala na problema natin ay internal. Mismong mga kinikilala o prominenteng brods ang pinagmumulan nito. Oops! Heto na naman ako. Marahil sasabihin ng ilang kritiko. Pero sino pa ba ang dapat maging masusing kritiko ng frat natin kundi tayo mismo?

Kritiko upang iwaksi ang mali, sikapin na ituwid ang mga kabaluktutan at ilantad ang mga kabulukan na nasasalubong natin paminsan-minsan sa ating buhay Triskelion - hindi upang libakin o alipustain ang mga gumagawa nito - kundi maituwid ang mga bagay na ito.

Brod, may sarili kang pag-iisip, gamitin mo ito upang mapagbuti ang sarili mo, nang sa gayon mabuti din ang maiambag mo para sa Tau Gamma Phi.

Parang ganito yan kapatid, may kakatok sa bahay mo, magpapakilala na sya ang Mayor ng bayan nyo kunwari - maniwala ka ba agad? Eh paano pa kung kilala mo ang Mayor nyo at may isang hindi naman hinalal o binoto man lang o lumahok sa eleksyon at magpapakilala sa iyo na "siya ang dapat mong kilalanin na lider.." magpapagoyo ka ba?

Kung nasa ibang bansa ka naman, meron mga International Councils na naka-align pa din sa National Council ng Pilipinas.

So, hindi ka maliligaw, tol. Walang dahilan para magoyo ka o mapagsamantalahan ng kahit na sinong brod na nais magsamantala. Kahit founding father pa yan o founder ng chapter mo, kumbaga. Walang rason na magpaloko ka.. unless, gusto mong magpaloko mismo. Kuha mo, bro?
