• Zephaniah 3:14, 16-17

14. Sing, Daughter Zion; shout aloud, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter of Jerusalem

16. On that day they will say to Jerusalem, “Do not fear, Zion; do not let your hands hang limp.

17. The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah have to deliver hard news to Judah because of their sins especially the sins of worshiping false Idols a day of judgement lay ahead
on that day the prophet said God would judge their enemies but his anger would also devastate the nation he loved

in verse 16 of chapter 3 Zephaniah uses the same phrase on that day to promise a time of renewal, God encourage them to Rejoice even while they wait and endure a time of suffering as the other prophets do Zephaniah connects the call to joy with God's faithful presence among his people,
whatever they face he will he with them, they have enemies and feel abandoned, But God is a victorious warrior who will rejoice over them.
and what about those of us who are believers, we also wait for a world restored where are fellowship with God will never end,
The writer of Hebrews sees Jesus as our example for joyful, work while we run with endurance toward the goal. Consider Jesus he writes who endure the Cross for the joy set before him, that of sitting in fellowship with God the father, because we look forward to the same blessing, we can set fear aside and rejoice.

• Psalm 8:3-9 (NIV)

Look at the love and confidence God shows us. We know from the Book of Genesis and the first creation story, that after God created human beings, he gave them "dominion" over all creation. This responsibility is what psalm 8 describes. This is an awesome responsibility! As I look around, I question how well we have lived up to this task. We have overfished many of our lakes and oceans; we have overhunted to the point where some animals have become almost extinct. I would never question the right of anyone to hunt or fish for food, or to provide food for others. In fact, my daughter is one who has hunted and fished and I have enjoyed her venison and fish on more than one occasion. But I do question people who hunt for trophies and discard the animal. We have polluted our rivers and our lakes so that there are areas of the world with no access to clean drinking water. This pollution is the result of greedy companies who pour toxic chemicals into the water rather than safely disposing of them. We have polluted the air so that there are places where you cannot safely breathe without a face mask. Then we have become so dependent on fossil fuels that climate change threatens every corner of the world. The melting of the polar ice caps is already making the seas rise. Our weather patterns are changing and creating more earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, and blizzards. We have not done a great job taking care of creation. When those who want change make their voices known, they are often dismissed as fear mongers. The reality is, it might cost us money, or cause us discomfort. We have a responsibility to leave the world in a better situation for our children, and God is watching.

• Psalm 144:15 (NIV)

The Good News: God is the true source of happiness, strength, hope, and wisdom. Those who are in His favor will always have: True Happiness.

When we believe ultimate happiness is found only in God, then we will shut out distractions and open His Word.

If we buy into the lie that happiness is to be found in wealth, beauty, fame, or any number of endless pursuits besides Christ, we're doomed to unhappiness because we're pursuing the wrong things.

But when we believe that ultimate happiness and transcendent joy are to be found only in God, We should do what God's will for us, and we should enjoy the things we do for Jesus Christ.

"ENJOY WITHOUT COMPLAINT"
When you are given tasks, do not grumble, put on a smile and do your task with gratitude and kindness. Complain less and be more thankful and appreciative of the tasks you are given, no matter the situation. The more thankful and positive you are, the more enjoyable the task will be.

• 1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV)

“Nobody’s Perfect!”
- We all make mistakes; even our favorite celebrities, friends, parents, everybody does. When you made a mistake, you must try your best to learn from it so that you won’t make the very same mistake again. And, if you have hurt someone - or if you have disobeyed God, you must ask for forgiveness, be humble and repent all of your wrongdoings. Always remember that mistakes are part of our lives, it is normal to make mistakes but what isn’t normal is doing the same mistake all over again. Nobody is perfect except our Heavenly Father. When God made you, He gave you special talents and opportunities that are yours and yours alone! That means you’re very special or a one-of-a-kind person, but that doesn’t mean that you should expect yourself to be perfect. Even the strongest man has its weaknesses. We all have limitations so don’t be too hard on yourself! After all, only one earthly being ever lived life to perfection, and He was Jesus. And Jesus loves you even when you’re not perfect, even your parents. And if all of those people love you, you should love yourself too. We all have flaws, don’t be ashamed! Don’t let your negative thoughts or what other people say fill your mind. We’re here not to please others but to please our Mighty Father in heaven.

• Colossians 1:10-14 (KJV)

In Colossians 1:10-14, Paul prays that his brother and sisters and all of us who are believers would bear fruit in every Good work. The Lord desires that our actions bring him glory, we all need to be very busy but the amount of work isn't what matters. Instead we must be sure that the things we do are eternally valuable. Paul prays that we would grow in the knowledge of God, the apostles request is not merely for believers to gain facts regarding Christ. He speaks of a deeper understanding in the heart. The apostle prays that we would be strengthened according to the Lord's power; having endurance and focus in the midst of life's trials that requires God's strength. Our own simply isn't enough, and Paul prays that we would walk in gratitude, when we realize where all good gifts originate we will live with thankfulness contentment and joy comes from a grateful heart not our circumstances. Life is busy, so prayer often gets squeezed out of our schedules. We must always remember that lifting our loved ones before God's Throne is among the most important tasks we can carry out.

• Matthew 16:24-26 (KJV)

This passage seems to have two parts. The first concerns our willingness to carry our cross, and the second is a little more challenging in that we are asked what value we place on eternal life. In examining the first, let's consider crosses. I'm sure we look around and sometimes wonder if other people suffer? It can look so easy from the outside for the rich or the famous. However, even the rich and the famous get sick, lose loved ones and sometimes, suffer from losing the very things that make them either rich or famous! It is said that the stock market crash of the nineteen twenties made many of the rich poor. Scandals in recent years have turned the famous to infamous. It only takes a single injury illness to turn a sports hero into an ordinary man or woman. Everyone has a cross to bear. If we really could see what others are suffering, we would most likely be content with our own. There is a saying, "I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet." There is always someone who is worse off than we are. As to the second part of this passage, we have other questions to consider. Are we willing to give up eternal life to pursue a goal using immoral or illegal means to get what we want? Is losing eternal life worth it?
