Announcement on the moonsighting result for the Eid’l-Fitr 1444AH.

Praise be to Allah, peace and blessing be upon the Messenger of Allah Thereafter to proceed:

Based on the hadith of the Allah's Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him: "Fast when you see it (the crescent of Ramadhan) and break the fast when you see it (the crescent of Shawwal), and if it is obscured from you too cloudy, then complete Sha'ban a thirty (days)" The Ulama of Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ headed by Bangsamoro M***i Abuhuraira A. Udasan, assigned groups to perform moonsighting this evening, Thursday, 29th of Ramadhan 1444AH. corresponding to the 20th day of April 2023. They (the said groups) have performed what they were assigned to do, and then finally, the result of the moonsighting is that the mooncrescent has not been sighted.

Based on this, the Bangsamoro M***i has declared that the Eid’l-Fitr will be on Saturday 1st of Shawwal 1444AH. corresponding to the 22nd day of April 2023. In Sha Allah.

SADAQATUL FITR OR FITRAH

*The giving of fitrah is fardh upon every free muslim male, female or child.

*It is not fardh upon a slave or bondsmaid. Their fitrah is the duty of their master.

*It is the duty of the husband to give out sadaqatul fitr on behalf of his wife and all small children whose maintenance is his duty.

*However, if any non-mukallaf child has his own estate, it should come from there, otherwise it is the duty of the parents or guardians.

*Fitrah becomes compulsory upon such a person who owns enough food or the value in money thereof for the day of 'Iyd for himself and those whom he must support ---viz. wife, children, parent etc.

*If he possesses less than what is needed to feed himself and his dependants on 'eid day (and night) Sadaqatul fitr is not necessary.

*If a man is poor while his wife is well off, fitrah is not compulsory for her on behalf of herself, as for her it is a Sunnah only.

*Fitrah is that food which is given to the poor at the time of 'Iyd .
-it must consist of the staple foodstuff that is consumed in any particular area.
-As far as the quality of the food that must be given is concerned, one may give a better quality but not of a lower quality.
-The amount to be given is worked out according to present measures at about 3 1/2 or 7lbs per person.

Sadaqatul-Fitr/Zakat-ul-fitr, like the Zakat in general, should be given only to strictly defined categories of people:

1) poor (i.e., those whose income is 20-30% of the required);

2) indigent (i.e., people whose income is less than the required amount by 70-80%);

3) employees engaged in the collection, storage, accounting, distribution of the Zakat, it is given to them as a salary;

4) converts (i.e., those who have accepted Islam and need material or moral support);

5) slaves released under a self-bargaining agreement;

6) those who have debts taken for purposes permitted by the Sharia (treatment, food, construction of necessary housing, purchase of necessary clothing, etc.);

7) to those who are on the true path and lead a holy war (ghazawat) against the infidels;

8) travelers who are on a journey permitted by the Shari'ah and who have been left without the necessary means.

𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝙋𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙍𝘼𝘼𝙉 𝙉𝙂 𝙎𝘼𝙇𝘼̄𝙏𝙐𝙇 𝙀𝙄𝘿

Wala ng ibang pagdiriwang sa Islām maliban sa dalawang pagdiriwang at ito ang Eidul Fitr at Eidul Adhā.

𝙃𝙐𝙆𝙈 𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙊

FARDU KIFĀYAH
Ang pagdasal ng Eid ay Fard Kifāyah, kung ito ay isasagawa ng iba ay walang pananagutan ang hindi nakasagawa nito.

وجاء في فتاوى اللجنة الدائمة للإفتاء (8/306) : "صلاة العيدين فرض كفاية؛ إذا قام بها من يكفي سقط الإثم عن الباقين .

𝙊𝙍𝘼𝙎 𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙊

Magsisimula ang oras ng Salātul Eid mula sa pagsikat ng araw 15-20 minuto na katumbas ng sibat hanggang sa pagkawala ng sikat ng araw (hanggang bago ang salātud dhuhr) at ang Sunnah ay ipahuli muna ito upang maging mahaba ang pagibibgay ng Zakātul fitr sa karapatdapat bigyan.

𝙋𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙍𝘼𝘼𝙉 𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙊

Ang pagdarasal ng Eid ay binubuo ng dalawang rakaah ng walang Adhan at iqamāh at linalakasan (naririnig) ang boses sa pagbabasa rito. Sa unang raka'ah ay mayroong 7 takbir (pagsasabi ng Allāhu akbar) at sa pangalawang raka'ah naman ay mayroong 6 na takbir.

-Magkaroon ng intensyon sa puso na ika'y magdarasal ng salātul eid para sa Allāh.

-Tumayo ng matuwid at humarap sa Qiblah

𝙈𝙂𝘼 𝙎𝙐𝙉𝙉𝘼𝙃 𝙎𝘼 𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙒 𝙉𝙂 𝙀𝙄𝘿

* Sunnah ang maligo.

* Sunnah na magsuot ng pinakamainam na damit.

* Sunnah na magpabango para lamang sa mga kalalakihan hindi
ng mga kababaihan.

* Sunnah na maging maaga patungo sa pagdarasausan ng Salah.

* Sunnah na kumain ng dates mula tatlo lima o higit pa.

* Sunnah na kung saan dumaan papuntan sa pagdarasal ng Eid ay sa ibang daan naman sya dadaan papauwi.

* Sunnah ang magtakbir:

ALLĀHU AKBAR, ALLĀHU AKBAR, LĀ ILĀHA ILLALLĀH,
ALLĀHU AKBAR, ALLĀHU AKBAR, WA LILLĀHIL HAMD

𝙋𝘼𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙇𝘼:

* Kung ang Salātul eid ay isasagawa sa open area ay huwag ng magsagawa ng salāh na sunnah na dalawang raka'ah ngunit kung ito naman ay isasagawa sa masjid ay magasagawa ng tahiyyatul masjid.

*Sunnah/Kanais-nais na dumalo ang mga kababaihang may regla sa salatul eid ngunit sila'y hindi magsasalah at papasok sa masjid kundi lalayo lamang sa lugar ng pagdarasalan.

* Kung ika'y isang ma'mum (sumusunod sa imam) ay Surah Al-fātihah nalng ang babasahin mo pagkatapos ng imam magbasa ng Surah alfatihah.

* Makinig ng Khutbah at huwag kaagad-agad tatayo at aalis pagkatapos ng Salah.

* Huwag magpapaputok ng baril o anupaman dahil hindi ito kabilang sa Eid.

* Ipakita ang saya sa araw ng Eid na walang halong pagsuway sa katuruan ng Islām.

* Huwag ipagpaliban ang pagbibigay ng Zakatul fitr hanggang pagkatapos ng Eid dahil hindi na ito maituturing na Zakatul fitr kundi sadaqah/kawanggawa.

Nawa'y makatulong po ito sa ating lahat.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." – Bukhari 1901

Sh. Ibn ‘Uthaymīn [رحمه الله] said; "Sleeping is a blessing from Allāh as it renews energy and cures tiredness."

Ibn al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said: "Sleeping too much kills the heart, makes the body heavy and wastes time."

Ibn al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said: "The best times to sleep are at the beginning of the night and in the middle of the day."

Ibn al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said: "To achieve eight hours of sleep at night is good - not more."
