Four Pre-Determined Areas will be offered to potential investors for Exploration, Development, & Utilization of Oil, Gas, and Coal in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao

Signing of the Intergovernmental Energy Board (IEB) Circular on the Joint Award of Petroleum Service Contracts (PSCs) and Coal Operating Contracts (COCs) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in a ceremony at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace on July 6, 2023.

The Joint Guidelines aim to operationalize the provisions of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) that empowers the National and Bangsamoro Governments to jointly grant rights, privileges and concessions for the exploration, development and utilization of fossil fuels such as petroleum, natural gas and coal within the jurisdiction of the said Region.

Recognizing the significance of ensuring the responsible utilization of energy resources and strengthening the collective goals of both Governments, this endeavor will contribute to energy security of the country and will open opportunities for economic growth in BARMM, which is aligned with the Marcos Administration’s eight-point socioeconomic agenda.

Congratulations MENRE-BARMM for having the Most Outstanding Collecting Ministry- Highest 3- Year Average Collection and among the top 3 Highest Collecting Ministry in BARMM.

The awards were given during the Annual Bangsamoro Local Revenue Collection Forum 2023 on April 25, 2023 at Robinsons Convention Hall, Mall of Alnor, Cotabato City.

The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) expresses its delight and congratulatory greetings to BARMM Senior Minister MP Abdulraof A. Macacua for his well-deserved appointment as the OIC Governor of Maguindanao del Norte in the Bangsamoro region.

Senior Minister Macacua served as the Minister of the Environment Ministry for three years (2019-2022) and led the management, conservation, protection, and sustainable development of the Bangsamoro region’s environment, natural resources, and energy sources.

Now blessed with another opportunity to be an Al-Khalifa and serve as the OIC Governor of Maguindanao del Norte, Senior Minister Macacua continues to deeply embody and extensively share his wisdom and knowledge on environmental protection and moral governance to a lot more Bangsamoro constituents.

INTERGOVERNMENTAL RALATION BODY (IGRB) Meeting and Dinner @ Malacañang South Davao City,

Minister Akmad Brahim of MENRE-BARMM actively participated the 60th Regular Cabinet Meeting on November 2, 2022 at Bajau Hall, Office of the Chief Minister Building, Bangsamoro Government Center.

The Agenda of this meeting focused on Bagyong Paeng Sitution Report and The Bangsamoro Education Summit.

Essential goods were donated by Minister Brahim for the victims of the recent Severe Tropical Storm Paeng at Camp Darapanan Sultan Kudarat Maguindanao on (November 2,2022).

Minister is in grief to all the families that are affected by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng in the entire BARMM. He will continuously support the needs of those who are affected by the typhoon.

The 22nd Annual General Assembly of the Front’s Committee on Da’wah and Masajid Affairs today, with the theme, “Islam is a Religion and State”.

Chairman Al-Haj Murad Ebrahim reiterated the history of Islamic revolution in the Bangsamoro Homeland which started when revolutionaries and Mujahideen worked hand in hand to strengthen Islamization and fought for the right to self-determination.
