On the 1st day of April 2024, YES4INAMM, together with UVPN and the University Student Council-CSU, had a deep discussion regarding the plans and implementation of the Islamic Symposium, which is scheduled to take place on April 4, Thursday at CSU-AVR.
This event is proposed by UVPN under its traditional project, Salindaw Ramadhan, which aims to bring the students together through a meaningful discussion about the significance of Lailatul Qadโr and how we can maintain our good deeds even after Ramadan.
Participants can look forward to engaging discussions, guest speakers, and opportunities to learn and reflect during this special time.
With this, we are thrilled to announce this meaningful initiative and valuable opportunity to build camaraderie while seeking Hikmah.

Yesterday, March 17, 2024, the YES4INAMM Coalition participated in the Sindaw Ramadhan Islamic Symposium Series and a free-Iftar event at City Plaza, organized by the United Bangsamoro Justice Party-Cotabato City in collaboration with Sangguniang Kabataan (Cotabato City), YES4INAMM Coalition, Jum-eyatul Mar-ah Almuslimah Lilhaymanah, Inc., and Millennial-PH.
Among the esteemed speakers was Mr. Saiful Gayak, one of the Steer-Committee Heads of YES4INAMM. His presentation highlighted the importance of Ramadan, including its significance in the Islamic faith, its spiritual and moral teachings, and the practical aspects of observing Ramadan such as fasting and engaging in acts of charity (Sadaqah), reading the Qur'an, and Istigfar.
The symposium featured a series of talks aimed at enlightening attendees on various aspects of the Islamic faith related to the holy month. When the Adhan (Magrib) was heard, everyone had an opportunity to connect with one another and share in the communal experience of breaking the fast together. Moreover, attendees at the event were encouraged to ask questions and engage in discussions about Ramadan and its various aspects.

Look! Our coalition continues to actively engage in participation, providing assistance, and fostering collaboration in our efforts to promote peace. In recent weeks, we had the opportunity to take part in the BTA Consultation on the creation of parliamentary districts for Cotabato City (BTA Bill No. 267). The event, organized by the Committee on Rules of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, was held at EM Manor Hotel in Cotabato City on January 15, 2024.
The public consultation of Parliament Bill 267 in Cotabato City, Maguindanao del Sur, and Maguindanao del Norte was led by ๐ ๐ฃ. ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ ๐๐น๐ถ๐ท๐ฎ๐ต ๐๐๐บ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ-๐๐น๐ฏ๐ฎ, BARMM parliament floor leader, and Committee on Rules chairperson.
The primary objective of the bill is to propose the establishment of two parliamentary districts in Cotabato City, with the intention of granting the city two seats within the legislative body of the Bangsamoro Government. The delineation for these districts would be based on the National Highway that runs through the city.
"The creation of two districts will promote healthy competition and cooperation between the areas, driving increased development initiatives. With dedicated representation for each district, there is a greater likelihood of securing resources and investments that are tailored to the specific needs of the local population. This approach fosters a more competitive environment that encourages innovation and progress. We, the YES4INAMM Coalition, strongly believe that BTA Bill No. 267 or the "Parliamentary Districts Act of 2023" is a great initiative,"โ ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ, head of YES4INAMM, expressing his support on behalf of the coalition.
Moreover, the bill aims to establish a total of 32 parliamentary districts in the region, ensuring an equitable distribution across provinces, cities, municipalities, and geographical areas. The bill specifies the number of districts allocated to each area: three in Basilan, seven in Sulu, three in Tawi-Tawi, eight in Lanao del Sur, four in Maguindanao del Norte, four in Maguindanao del Sur, two in Cotabato City, and one in the Special Geographic Area.
Representing the UVPN-supervised YES4INAMM Coalition of Cotabato City, Mr. Fahad Guiamano and Mr. Saiful Islam Gayak, along with Ms. Sittie Fariza L. Esmail, UVPN-LEB Program Officer, and Ms. Sittie Sheillan Sabdullah, expressed their support for the bill.

UVPN PARTICIPATED IN BTA CONSULTATION ON THE CREATION OF PARLIAMENTARY DISTRICTS FOR COTABATO CITY
COTABATO CITY โ UVPN joined various stakeholders in the public consultation on the creation of the Parliamentary Districts for Cotabato City (BTA Bill No. 267) held at EM Manor Hotel, Cotabato City on January 15, 2024, organized by the Committee on Rules of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority. The proposed bill creates two parliamentary districts for Cotabato City, which means that there will be two seats for Members of Parliament to represent the city in the Bangsamoro Governmentโs legislative body. The National Highway cutting through the city serves as the proposed boundary for the two districts.
Ms. Sittie Fariza L. Esmail, UVPN-LEB Program Manager who represented UVPN together with Ms. Sittie Sheillan Sabdullah, reasoned in the consultation that the geographical division of Cotabato into two districts, with the national highway acting as a clear boundary, facilitates easier identification and distinction between the districts. She added that demarcation helps in creating a clear boundary for the districts, making it simpler for residents to understand their district affiliation. Moreover, she said it allows for targeted development strategies by the Parliament.โ
The UVPN-supervised YES4INAMM Coalition of Cotabato City Head Mr. Fahad Guiamano and Mr. Saiful Islam Gayak joined the UVPN delegation and expressed similar support for the bill.
In the effort to ensure that more constituents of Cotabato City will be heard, Member of the Parliament Atty. Sha Elijah B. Dumama-Alba is called for the submission of position papers to elaborate their thoughts on the proposed bill on or before February 2, 2024.

On December 16, 2023, the YES4INAMM, a youth coalition supervised by the United Voices for Peace Network, Inc (UVPN), successfully conducted the Community Caravan with the theme: "Empowering Democracy for Peace Through Unrestricted Media Access and Inclusive Information." This momentous event took place in two prestigious locations: the morning session was held at Jamiat Cotabato Institute of Technology, while the afternoon session took place at Cotabato State University.
The caravan continued at Cotabato State University, where representatives from different organizations under the University Student Council of the institution attended.
Mr. Mahatma Sangcala, the Local Executive Board Manager of UVPN, started the program with inspiring stories of how UVPN was founded. He shared the journey and challenges the organization faced, highlighting the advocacy of the organization.
The activities during the afternoon session ran smoothly as our resource speaker continued to share her knowledge and her experiences regarding the topic. The participants also showed their interest in the topic, and many of them actively participated by exchanging ideas and perspectives with us.
One of our participants said, "We should use our voice in a good way and avoid actions that can add to the burdens of our society." This message impacted everyone and served as a reminder that we must be conscious of everything we do and we should use our voice as an instrument to change our society. It is essential for us to reflect on the impact of our words and actions that we post on social media.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to the University Student Council of Cotabato State University for accepting our invitation to collaborate with us and allowing us to conduct our Caravan at their institution.

On December 16, 2023, the YES4INAMM, a youth coalition supervised by the United Voices for Peace Network, Inc ( UVPN), successfully conducted the Community Caravan with the theme: "Empowering Democracy for Peace Through Unrestricted Media Access and Inclusive Information." This momentous event took place at two prestigious locations: the morning session was held at Jamiat Cotabato Institute of Technology, while the afternoon session took place at Cotabato State University.
The caravan began with smiles and a warm welcome from the students of Jamiat Cotabato, who were eager to learn and get to know the agenda of the coalition.
Our esteemed resource speaker, Ma'am Noor Saleha Salem, captivated the audience with her extensive knowledge and insights. She highlighted the vital role of media in shaping public opinion and emphasized the need for unrestricted access to unbiased information. Her experiences in media were really relevant and showed us that youth should think about what they post and how society perceives it.
During the open forum, the students actively participated, asking thought-provoking questions and sharing their viewpoints on the impact of social media. It was inspiring to witness such a vibrant exchange of ideas, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and diverse perspectives in the media landscape.
Indeed, the Community Caravan provided fruitful learning experiences and enlightened the attendees about the topic.
The YES4INAMM coalition would like to extend its sincere gratitude to Mr. Amir Kiram and the institution for supporting and allowing the team to conduct the program in their beloved institution.
