NU Dasmariñas - Academe-Industry Linkages and Placement Office

NU Dasmariñas officially signed a memorandum of understanding with DTI Cavite.

Yesterday, August 9, 2024, a memorandum of understanding between NU Dasmariñas and DTI Cavite was finally signed in order to enhance and strengthen the university's initiatives to its adopted communities. The two organizations also pledged to collaborate to enhance the curriculum of business-related courses to be able to cater to the demands of the business industry. Research collaborations were also discussed to identify whether the ongoing community projects are effectively implemented.

Present during the signing ceremony were NU Dasmariñas officials headed by Ms. Catherine Lagadia, Executive Director; Mr. Ramon Rodriguez, Academic Director; Mr. Manuel Logatoc, Community Extension and NSTP Director; Ms. Laila Malabanan, Dean of SBMA; Ms. Josephine Moradoz, BSBA Program Chair; and Mr. Steven Jocson, AILPO Coordinator.

DTI Cavite was represented by Ms. Lilibeth Chavez, OIC Provincial Director; Ms. Rebecca Tarasona, Chief of Business Development Division; Mr. Froy Galapon, Trade Information Officer; and Ms. Kristine Diaz, Information Officer.

Yesterday, August 2, 2024, a comprehensive pre-deployment internship orientation and seminar workshop was held at the NU Dasmariñas function hall, equipping participants with essential skills for a successful internship experience. The workshop covered three key areas: resume writing and interview skills, workplace skills and competencies, and workplace safety and professional ethics.

The workshop provided valuable knowledge and practical tools to prepare participants for their upcoming internships. By equipping them with essential skills and fostering a strong understanding of workplace expectations, the event aimed to enhance their overall internship experience and set them on a path for future career success.

The partnership between the two organizations aims to provide students and student organizations a platform to socialize, compete, and learn through video games and esports. This activity aims to provide comprehensive guidance to Nationalians on internship requirements, application procedures, and office processes. Moreover, the seminar workshop aims to enhance students' soft skills in resume writing and interview skills; workplace safety and professional ethics; and, workplace skills, abilities, and competencies.

Areas of collaboration include company tours, extension services, partnerships in events, academic internships, and sponsorships.

Following NU Phil's tagline "Education that works," Gardenia promises to provide high-quality academic internship experiences for the Nationalians, one of a kind company tour to their state-of-the-art-facilities, and possibly sponsorships for the athletes.

ICYMI: NU Dasmariñas has sealed a partnership with iQor Philippines.

On May 31, 2024, Friday, NU Dasmariñas sealed a partnership with iQor Philippines. The partnership aims to provide relevant work immersion and on-the-job training for senior high school and college students, respectively.

Moreover, the two organizations expressed their commitment to provide jobs to students who are balancing academics and career opportunities.

The signing ceremony was led by Ms. Catherine Lagadia, Executive Director of NU Dasmariñas, together with the School Deans, SHS Principal, and AILPO Coordinator; and Atty. Wilbur Gadicho, Vice President for Human Resources of iQor Philippines, together with the HR Managers and Senior Managers.

Partnership renewal to reach new heights for NUD.

We are thrilled to announce the renewal of partnership with HOPKINS International, NUD's provider of TOEIC (Test of International English Communication) to extend our commitment to provide Nationalians with a FREE internationally accepted certification for English Proficiency.

Hosted by SASE and NUD AILPO, the event started with a Management Report in lieu of NUD's Performance to TOEIC last year that was discussed by Mr. Jerome Subia, Sales Manager of Hopkins International Partners Inc.

After the discussion, the MOA Renewal signing took place with the presence of NUD Executive Director, Ms. Catherine Lagadia, SASE OIC-Dean, Mr. Jhon Eric Punzalan, SECA OIC-Dean, Ms. Dana Sangalang, AILPO Coordinator, Mr. Steven Jocson, Gen. NU Dasmariñas forged a partnership with Jardin de Dasmariñas Resort and Restaurant.

To accommodate students enrolled in the P.E. class (swimming), NU Dasmariñas forged a partnership with Jardin de Dasmariñas. The partnership provides a 50% discount on students' entrance fees during swimming class, along with a spacious cottage free of charge. Additionally, a 20% discount is offered to students and employees entering the resort for personal or work-related activities, provided that they present a school ID as proof of being part of the Nationalian community.
