"Behind the Scenes: Exploring Food Safety and Sanitation in Practice!"

As we conclude our 2nd semester, our 503 1st year BS Hospitality Management students with Food Safety and Sanitation subject are about to embark on an exciting plant tour like no other!

Today, we're taking a step out of the classroom and into the real-world setting of a food processing facility to learn about food safety and sanitation practices in action!
Through this interactive experience, our students will get to see firsthand the importance of proper food handling, process cleanliness, and other essential protocols that ensure the quality and safety of the food we eat.

From observing the production lines to exploring the different departments, our students will gain a deeper understanding of the entire food manufacturing process and how it all comes together.

We're thrilled to provide this unique opportunity for our students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, making them better equipped to excel in their future careers in the hospitality industry!

158 students from NCST- Hospitality and Tourism Management program (3rd Year) are embarking on a 5-day On-Board Training program!

This intensive training program aims to equip our students with hands-on experience and industry insights, preparing them to take on the challenges of the hospitality and tourism industry.

Our students will have the opportunity to work alongside professionals, learn new skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the sector. We are confident that this experience will not only enhance their knowledge but also provide them with a competitive edge in the job market.

NCST BSTM FLIGHT ATTENDANT WORKSHOP ✈️🫶❤️

Our BS Tourism Management students attended a flight attendant workshop at PTC Aviation Training Center. This interactive program equipped our tourism students "soon to be flight attendants" with practical skills and knowledge where they learned about the ins and outs of providing exceptional customer service in the aviation industry.

From in-flight meal service to emergency procedures, our students gained hands-on experience and insights into the daily responsibilities of a flight attendant.

This unique opportunity will not only enhance their knowledge but also prepare them for future careers in the tourism industry.

The program was led by the Tourism Management instructors Ms. Shane, sir Richard, Miss Samantha Beatrice, and Miss Harlene. Thank you for making this training and workshop possible.

In pursuit of Farm Tourism subject, BSTM 3rd-year students goes to Gintong Bukid Farm and Leisure in Nagcarlan, Laguna

This transformative journey intertwined seminars and hands-on training on suplementary enterprise compliments to farm tourism such as Basic Concoction Making, Organic Farming Workshop, Planting and Animal Feeding.

Generally, the purpose of this 2 day exposure tour is for the students to expose and experience traveling and vlogging for their subject Travel Writing and Photography as part of their curriculum.

Farm Tourism is not complete without the understanding of the organic practices present in the farm. They demonstrated the mixing and formulating of different organic fertilizers and vitamins for the plants. They exhibited the various fermented feeds for pigs and chickens which are also made and fermented by them.

We would like to thank Mr. Richard Ruiz Lumandas, Professor and Public Administration Chairperson and Mr. Shao Mojica, BS Tourism Program Chairperson for making this tourism exposure possible.

Hospitality and Tourism students now conquers the seas!

Another milestone for the college as it aims to expand the horizon of future hospitality and tourism professionals through Shipboard Training.

100 students from the Hospitality and Tourism Management are currently having their five-day Apprenticeship On Board Experience from June 20-24, in partnership with 2GO Group Inc. the leading interisland passenger ferry company in the country.

The program serves as the On-the-Job Training of the students for housekeeping, food and beverage service and front office for 100 hours. Students get to experience interisland travel to destinations including Manila, Ilo-Ilo, Bacolod and Cagayan De Oro City.
