Hello friends! Since COVID-19 outbreak, flights become limited and travels are suspended. Pack and Tour had hard time to operate because of the system issue and because of our strict situation. But as months goes by, flights are back, travelling is acceptable to some places, and some countries are open for tourists. We can’t say that everything is back to normal but rather, we manage to control the situation we are in now.

I am so glad to tell you that our ticketing business is back! We still offer Airline booking (Domestic and International), Ferry booking (Domestic and International), Hotel Booking, Tour Packages (Domestic and International), Passport and Visa Processing, and Bills Payment.

As of today, 28 July, there are 32 airports in the country whose Local Government Units (LGUs) have issued orders categorically supporting the resumption* of commercial airport operations in their areas of jurisdiction.

*Some airports, while allowing the resumption of commercial flights, are subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions.

Dear Clients,

Even if the government under the approval of IATF, allowed the skeletal operations of travel agencies to do administrative tasks such as refund processing and paying suppliers, we chose to remain closed as suppliers such as the Airlines, Cruise Lines, Hotels, Tour Operators and Travel Consolidators are still closed and/or under limited operation. Some will start processing the refund once the GCQ is lifted and when they start processing it will take more or less 6months.

We, travel agents are also small business owners affected by the pandemic. Though the government gave as permission to operate, the fact remains that INTERNATIONAL and NON-ESSENTIAL (tourism) TRAVELS remains PROHIBITED. We will still not have income to maintain skeletal operations.

Please know, that we are doing our best in coordinating with all the suppliers for your re-bookings and cancelled flights.

We thank our clients who are very understanding in this situation.

In response to the call of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to send our OFWs back to their provinces, the Department of Transportation joins the National Task Force for COVID-19, and concerned government agencies, in establishing the Hatid-Tulong Program, to assist and transport our stranded OFWs in Metro Manila back to their respective provinces.

As of 25 June 2020, the ‘Hatid-Tulong Program' has assisted and served a total of 51,624 OFWs, 15,210 of which were transported by land, 20,305 using air transport (data for land and air transport are from May 25 - June 25) and 16,109 via sea transport (sea travel from April 27 - June 25).

The Hatid-Tulong Program is a joint initiative of the Office of the President, National Task Force Covid-19, Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Office for Transportation Security (OTS), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

DAILY FLIGHT UPDATE: List of airports with commercial flights as of 27 June 2020, 7:00PM

Airlines have scheduled commercial flights at 17 airports in the country after Local Government Units (LGUs) allowed the commercial operation of airports in their respective areas.

Some airports, while allowing commercial flights, are subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions.

Note that the resumption of regular commercial flights depend on coordination and conditions imposed by LGUs.

PAL: The mission continues
Philippine Airlines ventures back to India, with ongoing repatriation flights for stranded Indians to Mumbai (Bombay - BOM) and Goa (GOI) in the Indian western coast.

The flag carrier has a long relationship with the world's biggest democracy: New Delhi was served from 2011 to 2013; and Kolkata (Calcutta) was a major stop en route to Europe in the 1940s.

This Travel Bans and Restrictions Update is prepared in response to queries received by the Department on its social media accounts and to provide guidance to all Filipinos intending to travel to and from the Philippines.

The DFA encourages all Filipinos traveling out from and returning to the Philippines to refer and be initially guided by the following Travel Restrictions imposed by countries across the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Please note that this information is subject to change without prior and sufficient public notice.

Travelers, even with valid visas or confirmed flights, should consult with relevant Embassies or Consulates of the destination country and ports of transit before booking the ticket. It is always best to check ahead of travel dates with the airlines that will be used for departure.

The DFA will strive to update this advisory as needed.
