DNHS conducts school-based training on campus journalism

Campus journalism plays a pivotal role in the school vis-a-vis the exercise of press freedom upon which satisfying the cardinal principles of it - truth and accuracy.

School Head of Dadiangas North High School, Mylene S. Arzadon, PI, alongside with her School Paper Advisers, Kristine D. Bretaña and Jessa H. Bautista, Polaris and Amihan respectively, spearheaded a school-based training on campus journalism, September 14.

This activity aimed for campus writers to stay abreast of the skills and concepts in journalism. Likewise, this served to promotes impartiality and fairness in the access e.g. of school information, knowledge and data necessary in the exercise of press freedom as a campus journalist. All the same, it endeavored to discover learners who are skillful in journalistic writing.

In-house resource lecturers were Sarrah Torribiano for Feature Writing, Mylene S. Arzadon, PI, for Editorial Writing, Jessa H. Bautista for News Writing and Kristine D. Bretaña for Column Writing and Photojournalism.

The invited resource speakers were Darwin Amistouso for SciTech and Sports Writing and Reggie D. Galindez for Editorial Cartooning.

Student-Participants were appreciative towards the training. They feel upgraded - quite a remarkable dose for their confidence boosts.

DNHS Nagdiwang ng Buwan ng Wika

"...Palayain ang mga sarili sa pagmamaktol, paliparin ang husay at mga talento...", ito ang ilan sa mga naging mensaheng inspirasyon kahapon ni Bb. Mylene S. Arzadon, Punungg**o ng Dadiangas North High School, sa selebrasyon ng paaralan para sa "Buwan ng Wika 2024".

Nagdiwang ng pampinid na palatuntunan ang paaralan na dinaluhan ng mga estudyante, mga g**o at mga kawani nito hapon ng Agosto 30 na may temang "Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya". Ang lahat ng kalahok sa patimpalak sa deklamasyon, spoken poetry, isahang awit, at sabayang bigkas ay nagpakita ng kanilang kagilagilalas na husay at galing.

Nagpatingkad din sa selebrasyon ang pagsususot ng iba't ibang kasuotang Filipino ng mga mag-aaral, mga g**o at mga kawani bilang pagpapakita ng pagkakaisa at pagmamalaki sa lahing Filipino.

Nagwakas ang palatuntunan sa pagbibigay parangal sa mga nanalo sa iba't ibang patimpalak.

DNHS welcomes learners on first day of classes

Kudos! Dadiangas North High School under the command of the School Head, Mylene S. Arzadon, PI, joined forces in welcoming the learners on their first day of class for this school year.

As the school begins the class 2024-2025, teaching, non-teaching and stakeholders braced verily to open the school with the purpose in mind that such preparations will bring smile, comfort and safety to the learners not just for July 29 but for the rest of the school year.

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP - JULY 4, 2024

Day 3 was a blast! 🌟 The lessons were simple and basic, but crucial for building a strong foundation. If you don't know the basics, you'll be lost. Today, we had more fun and interactive competitions that made learning exciting!

In the afternoon, students enjoyed fun-filled activities like parts of speech identification and "MDAS Me," where they tested their knowledge with great enthusiasm.

We invite all parents and stakeholders to support this momentous event, helping us mold the minds and intelligence of our learners. Together, we can make a difference!

What an incredible day of growth and fun! In the morning, our campers blossomed, honing their literacy and numeracy skills through engaging and interactive activities. 📚✨

The afternoon was filled with laughter and excitement as students participated in team spelling, becoming human letters, and took on the multiplication game, mastering their times tables with enthusiasm. 🧩🎉

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated stakeholders! We invite more supporters to join us in nourishing our learners with contributions of food. 🍎❤️

The first day of enrollment was successfully conducted at Dadiangas North High School. The school demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and adaptability by offering both in-person and online enrollment options.

For Grades 8, 9, 10 and 12 students, the school implemented the use of QR code for easy confirmation of enrollment. The online enrollment system went live at 8:00 AM, with parents and students logging in from their homes to complete the confirmation process.

For those who preferred or required in-person enrollment such as the incoming Grade 7, 11 and transferees, the school implemented a system to manage the flow of the enrollees and their parents, and designated enrollment stations with teachers ready to assist the parents and the students. The in-person approach was particularly beneficial for families without reliable internet access or those who felt more comfortable with face-to-face enrollment.

🌟 National Learning Camp 2024 - JULY 2 Highlights! 🌟

Today marked the exciting first day of the learners, where 273 enthusiastic campers engaged in enjoyable classroom activities to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills. 📚✏️

With the incredible support of 17 dedicated learning camp volunteers, the morning was a success. The afternoon brought fun-filled activities and incredible games that combined learning and enjoyment for all.

A special thank you to our stakeholder, Ma'am Gabo, for generously providing food and prizes for the students. Your support is truly appreciated. God bless you more! 🙏
