Guiuan, Eastern Samar- In its anti-criminality campaign, the joint operatives led by Guiuan Municipal Station successfully arrested a wanted person for Violation of Anti-violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004 (5(H) of R.A. 9262) in Brgy. 9-A Guiuan Eastern, Samar on August 1, 2024 at about 10:35 AM.

Operatives arrested the accused, a 19 years old , male, single, student and a resident of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

Accordingly, the apprehension of the accused was based on a warrant of arrest dated July 25, 2024, for Violation of Anti-violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004 (5(H) of R.A. 9262) with criminal case number 3281 issued by Hon. Angelo M Raagas, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Branch 3, Guiuan, Eastern Samar with Seventy Two Thousand Pesos (Php72,000.00) bail for his temporary liberty.

Joining the operation were elements from Eastern Samar Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and 2nd Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company (ESPMFC) with the active participation of advocacy group.

During the operation, the accused was informed of his constitutional rights in a dialect understood by him and was brought to Guiuan MPS for documentation before turnover to the court of origin.

Guiuan, Eastern Samar- In its anti-criminality campaign, the joint operatives led by the Guiuan Municipal Station successfully arrested the 2nd Most Wanted Person in Eastern Visayas for Violation of New Anti-carnapping Act of 2016 (RA 10883) in Guiuan Eastern, Samar on July 26, 2024 at about 1:10 PM.

Operatives arrested the accused, known alias “Rommy”, at 21 year-old, fisherman, with live-in partner residing in Guiuan, Eastern Samar he is also listed as the town’s 7th Most Wanted person.

Accordingly, the apprehension of the accused was based on a warrant of arrest dated July 17, 2024, for Violation of New Anti-carnapping Act of 2016 (RA 10883) with criminal case number 3274 issued by Hon. Angelo M Raagas, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Branch 3, Guiuan, Eastern Samar with Php300,000.00 bail for his temporary liberty.

Joining the operation were elements from Eastern Samar Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), 2nd Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company (ESPMFC), Highway Patrol Team (HPT) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) with the active participation of advocacy group.

Operatives arrested the accused, a 36 years old, male, married, fish dealer,and resident of Brgy. 9, Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

Accordingly, the apprehension of the accused was based on a warrant of arrest dated July 25, 2024, for Violation of Illegal Fishing/ Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998 (Sec 126 of RA 8550) with criminal case number 2024-07G-1834 issued by Hon. Clara A Baquilod, Acting Presiding Judge, Municipal Circuit Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Branch 3, Guiuan-Mercedes, Eastern Samar with Php10,000.00 bail for his temporary liberty.

Joining the operation were elements from Eastern Samar Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and 2nd Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company (ESPMFC) with the active participation of advocacy group.

Operatives arrested the accused, a 46 years old, male, single, tricycle driver and a resident of Brgy. Lupok, Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

Accordingly, the apprehension of the accused was based on a warrant of arrest dated July 9, 2024, for Violation of Sec. 28 Article V RA10591 with criminal case number 3267 issued by Hon. Angelo M Raagas, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Branch 3, Guiuan, Eastern Samar with Php100,000.00 recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty.

Accordingly, the apprehension of the accused was based on a warrant of arrest dated June 26, 2024, for Violation of PD 1602 with criminal case number 2024-06G-1828 issued by Hon. Clara A Baquilod, Acting Presiding Judge, Seventh (7th) Municipal Circuit Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Guiuan-Mercedes, Guiuan, Eastern Samar with Php5,000.00 recommended bail bond for her temporary liberty.

Guiuan, Eastern Samar- In its anti-criminality campaign, the joint operation of the Guiuan Municipal Station successfully arrested a wanted person for the crime of Robbery in Brgy. Cagusuan, Homonhon Island Guiuan Eastern, Samar on July 20, 2024 at about 5:00 PM.

Operatives arrested the accused, a 30 years old, male, married, kitchen helper residing in Guiuan Eastern, Samar.

Accordingly, the apprehension of the accused was based on a warrant of arrest for the crime of Robbery with criminal case number 2781 issued by Hon. Ronaldo M Lacdo-o, Presiding Judge, Seventh (7th) Municipal Circuit Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Guiuan-Mercedes, Guiuan, Eastern Samar with Php24,000.00 recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty.

At about 6:45 p.m. on July 12, 2024, a joint operation was carried out by the elements of Guiuan Municpal Police Station headed by PMAJ JOSE A TIU JR, Officer In-Charge and ESPPO-PIU that resulted to the successful arrest of a male wanted person, of legal age, married and a resident of Brgy. Cagusu-an Homonhon Island, Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest dated February 12, 2009, for Violation of Qualified R**e with criminal case number 2303 issued by Hon. Rolando M Lacdo-o, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Guiuan, Eastern Samar with no bail bond recommended.

Subject wanted person, was apprised of her constitutional rights in language known to and understood by him by the operating team. Said arrested person was brought to station for documentation and proper disposition prior to the turn-over to the court of origin.

Surrendered/Turn-over Loose Firearm

Guiuan COP- In line with the intensification Oplan Bilang Boga, on June 20, 2024, at 8:50 AM, Guiuan Municipal Police Station, received one surrendered improvised PVC pipe gun powered by alcohol and loaded with holen/marble or locally known as “Boga”, from a person, of legal age, single and a resident of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The said surrendered homemade PVC Pipe Rifle was now under the safekeeping of this station for proper disposition.

The Officer In-Charge of Guiuan Municipal Police Station highly encourage the individual fi****ms holder in this municipality, with expired fi****ms license to renew their respective fi****ms licenses at the nearest Fi****ms and Explosives Office (FEO), at Police Regional Office 8, or surrendered their fi****ms to avoid subject of search warrant and charge for violation of RA-10591 (Comprehensive Law on Fi****ms and Ammunition).

Guiuan Cop's Arrest Illegal Gambler's for Violation of P.D 1602

Guiuan Municipal Police Station, arrested Illegal Gamblers on June 8, 2024 at about 8:25 PM by personnel of Guiuan Municipal Police Station together with Barangay-based Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Group and other force multipliers through intel driven operation in Brgy. Cogon Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

On or about 08:25 PM of June 8, 2024 at Brgy Cogon, Guiuan Eastern Samar, elements of Guiuan MPS conducted Anti-Illegal Gambling Operation that resulted the apprehention of Two (3) person caught in the act engaging illegal activity for Violation of PD 1602 commonly known as "Tong-Its".

During the operation, arrested person was informed of his constitutional rights in a dialect understood by them and was brought to Guiuan Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

The Guiuan police force remains committed to its duty of apprehending individuals who commit crimes and evade the law. The police encourage those wanted for crimes to surrender voluntarily, and the office is ready to assist them in accordance with the law.
