SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 695 km East of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte (8.5°N, 131.8°E). Low Pressure Area (LPA) and Southwest Monsoon affecting Mindanao.

FORECAST:
Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur,will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA. Rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. Light to moderate winds from southwest to west with slight to moderate seas.

As of 10:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) 930 km east of Mindanao entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). This weather disturbance has a high chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours.
