A study from The ABC of Mobility, published in Environment International 2024, on Global Mobility Trends, covering 800 cities across 61 countries, reveals regional percentages of transportation modes used for commuting.

The study categorizes transportation into three types: Car, Public Transport, and Walking/Cycling. In Southeast Asia, car usage dominates at 43%, followed by public transport at 43%, and walking/cycling at 13%.
