World is full of challenges. So that, we must always be ready. There are times that we will become vulnerable and we don’t know what to do. But we should be strong and believe that we can make it because success belongs to those who never get tired to learn.
It is difficult to manage time as a student. But I need to figure out how to manage things well. So, to deal with it, I chose another organization where I spent my time learning something new and gaining clinical experience. In just over a month, iChildren Developmental Therapy and Assessment Center provided me with great and invaluable experiences for which I will be eternally grateful.
As a trainee, I'm not sure what I should do at first because everything is new to me. Because my previous training was so different, I am in a new workplace with new coworkers and a new set of tasks. Consider the progression from the industrial to the educational to the clinical setting, which is the most difficult of all. I am grateful and happy since being in this center allowed me to feel close to the children despite the hardships I faced on a daily basis. The joy on their cheeks inspires me to arrive early every day. The hugs and kisses I received from them put me at ease as I began my task. In a nutshell, I adore children.
As I move closer to my dreams, I will always remember the lessons and values I have learned from the government and non-government agency such as be alert, flexible and credible, work effective and efficient, have a competence, diversify capabilities, build teamwork and act professional. Even most of the times I failed, I should still always be the person who is always willing to learn, accept that failures are just steps in reaching my goals and I thank God for everything.
I am now ready and prepared to confront the real world and work for the better. My entire On-the-Job-Training taught me to always Aim High. Make a Difference. Seize opportunities. Demonstrate Your Capability. Never give up on hope.
Thank you for the new learnings and experiences, iChildren Developmental Therapy and Assessment Center.
My 600-hour internship has come to an end.
From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate ma'am Jennifer L. Tuazon-Gutierrez, Ph.D., RGC for all of her assistance and effort in making this On the Job Training possible.
My second setting OJT was conducted at Jaro National High School. In fact, I've been in an on-the-job training program for approximately 25 days, and one of the most challenging challenges is how to PROVE YOURSELF—to your supervisor as well as to your coworkers—that you are actually doing your job.
Aside from struggling to prove myself to everyone I met on a daily basis, I've learned a lot in just 200 hours of on-the-job training, but I've discovered that there are still some areas I need to work on. When it's your first time, you're certain to feel nervous and shy. For a variety of reasons, and with a lot on my mind. For example, I don't know who I'll be working with in the office, and I don't have any genuine experience. Those concerns initially kept me quiet and trying to figure out how to interact with the people in the office.
As the days passed, our SIP center supervisor allowed us to experience actual scenarios in the office, such as a campaign for stress and anxiety against depression, su***de, and death, a campaign for the prevention of sexual abuse, violence, and injury, virtual hosting for grade 10 students' career guidance, and, of course, individual and group counseling. These encounters made me feel and appreciate my chosen course. I was not only introduced to a genuine office setting, but I also discovered what I truly desired before graduating. What kind of job I'd like to have, and so on.
There is one essential thing I've learned from the aforementioned situations. Because you are dealing with diverse persons and difficulties in life, you must first settle your own concerns or troubles before addressing those of others.
Overall, standing out is a challenge for me every day. But, thanks to the Lord's guidance, I always have a winning attitude and tell myself, "I chose this course, so I must deal with it."
I'd want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Jaro National High School faculty and staff for allowing me to complete my 25-day OJT in an educational context.
Special appreciation to ma'am Shareal Joy L. Camacho for the invaluable lessons and experiences she provided during my ojt.
Surely, the information you've given upon me will be treasured in my heart and mind for the rest of my life.
Nothing beats experience as a teacher when it comes to imparting knowledge. It may be difficult at first, but if we learn to respect and enjoy what we're doing, it becomes easier by the day.
On-the-job training at the Office of Sanggunian Panlalawigan Member Carol-V S. Espinosa-Diaz in the Iloilo Provincial Capitol assists me in preparing for future employment. It also assists me in becoming more efficient in interacting with the various people around me.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the oversight of all the staffs in the office of 5th District Board Member Carol-V S. Espinosa -Diaz, with whom I thoroughly liked working. Everything I never expected to learn has proven to be really beneficial.
I will treasure the knowledge and experiences I obtained over my 200 hours of OJT.
