Our Club trainer, Past President Kimberly Floresco-Moreno attended the Filipina CEO Circle's Inspired Conversations panel discussion and took inspiration from the first-hand experiences and insights from the women CEOs leading the major industries in the country. Kimberly, our club trainer, represented RAC Metro Iloilo and supported our Secretary, Nicole So, who was one of the organizers for the event.

The event was organized by One Network PI with the the Filipina CEO Circle and in partnership with the UPV Gender Development Program.

As Rotaractors, we support and promote projects that strengthen and empower women in the society, promote economic and community development as well as create opportunities for decent and productive work for all ages. The event also strengthened the initiative among local entrepreneurs and young professionals.

Our newest member, Camille, represented the Rotaract Club of Metro Iloilo at Paglaom 2.0 (Discover the Magic in You) held at Camp Alfredo, Sibunag, Guimaras, on June 29, 2024.

This two-day event, organized by the Rotaract Club of Central Iloilo City, aimed to foster teamwork and leadership skills of the participants while promoting their environmental awareness. The goal was to inspire and empower the younger generation to take action towards a sustainable future.

Rotaract Club of Metro Iloilo commenced the new Rotary Year with an environmental service through a tree planting activity. We planted 160 seedlings of cabugao, kamonsil, langka, and rambutan at Brgy. Sta. Cruz, San Miguel, Iloilo, on June 29, 2024.

In connection with the Rotaract District 3850's annual goal of planting 3850 trees, this kick-off project is in partnership with the Rotaract Club of PHINMA-UI and in a collaboration with MENRO San Miguel.

This green initiative also serve as a testament to the club's undying commitment on protecting the environment as one of its key area of focus in creating positive change in the community.

𝐑𝐀𝐂 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 ✨

RACMI held an online meeting last June 23, 2024 discussing transition plans as well as the proposed calendar activities for the new Rotaract Year under the President-elect Jilyn.

One of the meeting’s highlights was the preparation of the upcoming tree-planting event on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐌𝐈 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 🌳

RACMI President-elect Jilyn, together with staff from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), visited Sitio Onas in Barangay Sta. Cruz, San Miguel, Iloilo, on June 18, 2024, to inspect the site for the club's upcoming tree planting activity. This yearly district-wide event, in which the club participates, is scheduled to take place next week. The club will be planting approximately 80-100 seedlings of various fruit-bearing trees, including rambutan, langka, cabugao, and kamonsil.

We are looking forward to this event and the positive impact it will have to our environment!

RACMI President-elect Jilyn visited the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of San Miguel on June 6, 2024, to secure a partnership for the upcoming District-wide kick-off tree planting activity organized by Rotaract District 3850.

This event aims to plant 3,850 trees, with each club in the district contributing by planting 80 trees. 🌳

We are so thrilled to be collaborating with San Miguel MENRO for this activity and making a meaningful impact on our environment! 🍃🌏

RID 3850 Zones 1-3 held a council meeting on June 8, 2024, to discuss upcoming events and elect new officers for Rotary Year 2024-2025.

RACMI officers, PDRR/RTN. Elyrose Naorbe and President-elect Jilyn Rose Yap warmly welcomed our Rotarian guests from Taiwan 🇹🇼, Japan 🇯🇵, and Manila 🇵🇭 as they explored the island province of Guimaras, June 2.

During the tour, we visited the island province’s historical landmarks and beautiful scenery 🏝️, including the Guimaras Provincial Capitol, Smallest Plaza, San Lorenzo Wind Farm, Ave Maria Island, and Baras Cave. We also enjoyed tasting various mango products, such as dried mangoes, mango pizza, and fresh mangoes 🥭, known as the sweetest in the world.
