The Visayas State University-Isabel partook in a vibrant and pivotal day as the campus came alive with the USSC and CSSC elections held at the Social Hall on May 08, 2024. The event marked a significant moment in VSU Isabel’s history, emphasizing the importance of student voices in shaping the future direction of the university.

Under the diligent supervision of the SEB team, each voter was guided through the process with clarity and efficiency.

The VSU’s Gymnasium was charged with an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement as students eagerly gathered for the highly anticipated Miting de Avance 2024. This event served as a platform for candidates in the USSC and CSSC elections to showcase their visions and plans for the university's future.

Following each candidate's presentation of their aspirations and platforms, the event progressed into an open forum. Here, students were encouraged to freely voice their questions, raise concerns, and engage directly with the candidates.

Gathering on March 3, 2024, SEB officers from VITA Campuses, alongside their counterparts from the main campus, convened for a General Assembly at the Multi-Faith Student Center, VSU-Main Campus, Baybay City Leyte. Spearheaded by USEB Chairperson Mr. Christian S. Gonzaga, the assembly marked a significant occasion for discussing election protocols and revising the SEB Code.

Facilitated by emcees Keziah P. Chu and Josella Kinna Guimbaolibot, the proceedings were split into two main segments. During the morning session, attendees delved into the intricacies of the SEB Code, scrutinizing existing rules and proposing amendments to ensure clarity and effectiveness in governance. The afternoon segment pivoted towards practical matters, with a comprehensive orientation on election procedures aimed at equipping officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to execute their duties effectively on election day and beyond.

Notably, Ms. Christie Cyrene Tauy, Head of Student Development Services Office, graced the assembly with her presence, further enriching the discussions and strengthening collaboration.

The assembly concluded on a positive note, with participants receiving certificates of participation and engaging un a photo op, symbolizing the unity and collaborative spirit of SEB officers.

The SEB officers were able to discuss the guidelines for the official candidates in the conduct of elections. Specifically, they discussed Articles VII, X, and XII of the SEB Code, which focus on campaigns, penalties, and question hours, respectively.

This afternoon, a careful screening session took place for candidates running for USSC officer positions. Among the aspirants were from 𝘽𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝙐𝙉 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙔𝙇𝙄𝙎𝙏 and 𝘿𝙄𝙇𝘼𝘼𝘽 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙔𝙇𝙄𝙎𝙏, who shared their proposed implementations for the university community. The event, held from 1 PM to 4 PM in Room 8 of the DTE Building at Visayas State University-Isabel Lower Campus, provided a platform for these aspiring leaders to articulate their visions.
