Sa dengue, nakasulat sa medical na libro ang platelets ay bumababa usually at 3rd day of fever at umaakyat ang platelets ulit simula 6th or 7th days simula ng fever. Almost constant po yan na pattern. Almost predictable.

Delikado ba na mababa ang platelets?

Di talaga ang low platelets ang nagbibigay ng peligro kundi ang dehydration na nakaka-ulcer ng bituka.

Kung may dehydration may ulcer, kung may ulcer may bleeding, kung mababa ang platelet, mas malubha ang bleeding.

Pero ang mababang platelet ba ang dahilan ng ulcer? Hindi diba? Kundi ang dehydration.

Kung walang dehydration, walang ulcer, so walang bleeding ang bituka kahit mababa ang platelet.

Bakit may dehydration ang dengue?

Dahil yun sa mga butas sa blood vessels na sanhi ng paglabas ng fluids (in english : Plasma Leakage).

Paano malalaman kung hydrated?

Malakas at madalas na ihi na light yellow ang color. At least less than 4 hours interval ng ihi.

Lumalala ang dehydration pagpasok ng 3 days ng lagnat so mas maganda if may dextrose lalo na kung matamlay para mas mahabol ang dehydration .

Effective ba ang Tawatawa o Papaya?

Sa dami na ng dengue patients na nakita ko, ang napansin ko ay, with or without herbal tumataas talaga ang platelets after 6 days simula ng lagnat sa mga pasyenteng malakas umihi.

Yung severely dehydrated lalo na yung delayed ang pagpachek at di na gaano umiihi, kahit anong herbal, patay pa rin! So option niyo na ang herbal basta importante hydrated.

Alam niyo ba na may isa ring sakit na mababa ang platelet pero hindi dengue?

Ang tawag doon ay ITP or Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura. Ang kaibahan nito sa dengue ay wala silang dehydration kaya kahit 5 nalang platelet ay naglalaro pa rin.

At di gaya ng dengue na consistent na tumataas ang platelet after 6 days ang ITP ay walang malinaw na araw. Yung iba tumataas after 3 months, yung iba 1 year, yung iba 5 years.

Sinusubukan din naman ng mga ITP patients ang pagtake ng Tawatawa at Papaya pero wala daw effect sa pagakyat ng platelets nila.

Di kaya ang dahilan na madaming naniniwala na effective na pampataas ang herbal ng platelet sa dengue ay dahil nagkataon lang na paakyat na talaga ang platelet dahil 6 days na?

Diba kung tumataas ang platelets sa tawatawa sa dengue, dapat tataas rin dapat sa ITP? Sa ITP nabibisto na di talaga effective ang Tawatawa o Papaya.

My point, di po ako anti-herbal, ang alam ko lang is in Dengue management, time is gold. Dehydration ang kalaban mo.

Kung di mo alam na dehydration pala at nafocus ka sa herbal at di mo inobserbahan ang ihi mo ay baka madehydrate ka at mag-organ failure ng di mo napansin.

Special tip about Dengue Fever kung na-admit :

Kapag na admit kayo ng lagnat, lalo na kung dengue suspect, kailangan ay may Urine Output monitoring sheet na ibibigay sa inyo sa unang oras palang niyo pagpasok. Dahil doon niyo isusulat ang ihi ng anak niyo.

Gaano kadami at anong oras. Ang blood pressure kasi ay pwedeng bumaba sa dengue. Delikado yun. Pero bago bumaba ang blood pressure ay kumokonte muna ang ihi at nagiging dark ang kulay hangang sa nawawala ang ihi at next nun ay bababa ang blood pressure at pwede ring bleeding.

So bago pa man mangyari yun ma-aware na kaagad dapat ang nurse at Doctor upang magawan ng remedyo. May warning sign na kayong mapapansin sa pagmonitor ninyo ng ihi.

At sa paraan din nun mawawala ang kaba mo dahil alam mong well hydrated dahil sige ihi.

Halintulad natin sa severe diarrhea, bakit di na tayo takot sa severe diarrhea dahil alam natin paano ito tapatan ng tamang hydration. Ang diarrhea ay forever na andyan pero di tayo kelangan magpanic dahil matalino na tayo about diarrhea. Ngayon kelangan natin maging matalino about dengue. Di man natin matangal ang dengue sa mundo pero kung alam natin anong dapat gawin ay kaya nating labanan.

Mas madali imonitor ang diarrhea dahil nakikita natin ang pupu na basa sa pwet pero sa dengue “secret dehydration”, kay pagmonitor ng ihi ang importante.
