OSS-VPU Advisory for College Deans and Office Directors

The OSS through its Vocational and Placement Unit is pleased to announce the implementation of the BSU Government Internship Program. This is a temporary employment program in partnership with the DOLE-CAR and the Office of Rep. Eric Yap.

The main objective of this program is to provide professional work experience to college graduates as STAFF-INTERNS. Several BSU graduates/alumni were hired as STAFF-INTERNS under this program and are ready to be deployed in the different colleges, offices, and units within the university. Deployed Staff-Interns can perform the following tasks:

1. Provide assistance in office frontline work and other clerical duties.
2. Assist coordinators/staff in gathering, sorting, or analyzing data.
3. Assist coordinators/staff in gathering and packaging records/files for accreditation or similar events.

BSU SPES 2024 Batch 2 Online Application

Benguet State University (BSU) through its Office of Student Services-Vocational & Placement Unit (OSS-VPU) is happy to announce the opening of the online application for the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) for the 1st Semester SY 2024-2025 to qualified BSU undergraduate students.

Job Title: BSU SPES Junior Staff (14 slots only)

Job Description: The BSU SPES Junior Staff will be deployed in BSU Offices, Colleges, and Units. The SPES Junior Staff may be required to perform usual office tasks such as encoding, sorting and routing documents, filing, and simple office cleaning.

Job Schedule for Batch 2: Weekdays, at least 4 hours everyday. Saturday work is optional. The period of employment for Batch 2 will be from August 5, 2024 to November 30, 2024 (subject to adjustments) to complete 256 hours.

Benefits: Salary rate of Php 590.91 per day
Other benefits: Job experience and Certificate of Employment

Qualifications:
1. At least 16 years old but not more than 30 years old
2. BSU undergraduate student enrolled with not more than 18 units
3. Family is certified as indigent (very poor) by the Barangay/DSWD
4. Passing grades in all subjects enrolled for the 2nd semester SY 2023-2024
5. Intends to enroll for the 2nd semester SY 2024-2025

Application Procedure:
1. Fill-out the online application before the deadline on July 24, 2024. https://forms.gle/nynscDHdDpASGE44A
2. The OSS-VPU will evaluate your online application information and will verify your grades and number of enrolled units.
3. If your online application is evaluated as "pre-qualified", the OSS-VPU will send you an email or a text message to instruct you to complete and submit a set of requirements that includes an application letter and a letter of consent from your parent/s or legal guardian, and 2023 Income Tax Return or Tax Exemption of your parent/s or legal guardian.
4. Only 14 slots (vacancies) are available for Batch 2 applicants, pre-qualified applicants will undergo job interview as the last screening process.

Privacy notice: By proceeding to answer the online form, you understand that BSU will have an access to the information you will provide and agree to the manner that BSU will use and store all information related to you.

By continuing, you also agree that:
1. BSU will store in a secured electronic database all personal data collected from this online form.
2. BSU may use the data you provided for academic and research purposes other than employment hiring.

BSU through its OSS-Vocational and Placement Unit assures you that all personal data collected in this online platform will be treated with utmost confidentiality and will be used only for the purposes stated above.
