Rev. Honorio "Norie" Mateo Sr. passed away peacefully this morning (September 27, 2016). Rev. Mateo served the Lord in various capacities in the Church of the Nazarene as pastor, evangelist, church planter, district superintendent to name a few. He is the current PNC Alumni Association President. We are grateful to the Lord for his life and how he lived out the Great Commission of making Christlike disciples.

Think about this: Why do we (Christians) call the celebration of Jesus' resurrection Easter Sunday and not simply Resurrection (Sun)day?

There's nothing that you can't overcome with God on your side.

Want to find happiness in your life? Appreciate the small stuff. You are blessed more than you realize.

You can't change what has already happened so choose to look ahead instead of behind you.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

When you face difficult times, know that challenges are not sent to destroy you. They're sent to promote, increase and strengthen you.

The truth of God is unchanging. Build your life on that truth & you will not fall.

Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author & perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross.

Whatever you believe about yourself on the inside is what you will manifest on the outside.

When fear comes knocking at your door, you must answer it with faith. Nothing else is effective against it.

Don't let the troubles of life bring you down. No matter how big your struggle, God has the power to conquer all things.

When you focus on God's promises instead of the problems, you'll notice your thoughts will be healthier and filled with peace.

Fear not... for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. -Luke 12.32

There is a blessing hidden in every trial in life, but you have to be willing to open your heart to see them.

Light a fire on the inside. You have the seed of Almighty God. Don't allow something small to keep you from God's best.

What you do in front of people is nothing if you are not living the same life at home behind closed doors.

Faith is accepting that you may not understand everything, but knowing that God will direct you to what He wants for your life.

Let go of the past so God can open the door to your future.
