All Souls' Day, also called The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed, observed by Christians on 2 November.
Through prayer, intercessions, alms and visits to cemeteries, people commemorate the poor souls in purgatory and give the departed their favorite indulgences.

OPLAN KALULUWA 2024| The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 5 has dispatched its men throughout the region to ensure a prompt response to any untoward incidents, ensuring the efficient provision of essential safety, rescue, and medical services during and after the commemoration of All Saints', and All Souls' days.
All Saints' Day, also known as All Hallows' Day, is a Christian feast day celebrated on November 1st. It is a day dedicated to honoring and remembering all the saints, known and unknown, who have attained heaven.
The day is meant to commemorate and give thanks for the lives and contributions of these saints, who are considered role models of Christian faith and virtues.

LOOK | FSSUPT ACHILLES M SANTIAGO, Ph.D., DSC, Acting Regional Director, awarded Certificates of Recognition to the DRRMO - City of Manila and Councilors from the 1st to 6th Districts of Manila. The certificates were presented on behalf of FSSUPT SANTIAGO by FSSUPT CROSSIB C CANTE, DSC, ARD for Operations, together with FCINSP MARC ALLAN C CONSUEGRA, City Fire Marshal of Naga; and FSINSP ERWIN VERSOZA, Chief RIAS, on October 30, 2024, at Naga City Fire Station.
These awards honor their exceptional support and commitment to BFP Region 5 during the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) efforts for those impacted by Tropical Storm Kristine in the Bicol Region—a testament to their dedication and inspiring public service.
LOOK |During Lunch and Exit Call of BFP Region 8 SRF Team, FSSUPT ACHILLES M SANTIAGO, Ph.D., DSC, Acting Regional Director, conferred the Medalya ng Pagtulong sa Nasalanta and Medalya ng Kasanayan to FCSUPT ADEL D BAUTISTA, DSC, Regional Director of BFP Region VIII, in recognition of his exceptional effort and unwavering support to BFP Region 5. Through his leadership, personnel from Region VIII were deployed to assist in the ongoing Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations in the Bicol Region, following the impact of severe Tropical Storm Kristine. His dedication has saved lives and restored hope, setting a commendable example for others in the fire service.
The awards were received on his behalf by FSINSP ROBERT H ESPINOLA, leader of the deployed Region VIII Search and Rescue Force. The said SRF R8 personnel also received the same awards in acknowledgment of their commitment and service to BFP Region 5 during their deployment from October 24 to 30, 2024.

LOOK| Ongoing assistance with hauling Food and Non-Food Items (FNFIs) is underway as part of relief operations for Severe Tropical Storm "Kristine," currently being held at the Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay.
LOOK | FSSUPT ACHILLES M SANTIAGO, Ph.D., DSC, Acting Regional Director, visited some fire stations in Albay and Sorsogon to assess their operational readiness and performance, as well as evaluate any damage sustained by BFP stations, assets, capabilities, and equipment due to severe Tropical Storm Kristine. This has also helped to anticipate future needs as we enter the peak of the "BER" months, with increased potential for natural disasters.
