7 April 2024 - In order to allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects and other requirements, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on Monday, 8 April 2024.
Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations.
Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

In celebration of International Math Day or Pi Day, Lucena East VII Elementary School actively participated in the school based math camp 2024.
The math camp was organized by Ma'am Mary Ann Tadiosa math coordinator and supported by the school head Ma'am Shirley De Torres as well as the math teachers in every grade level.
The math camp aims to:
a. promotes enthusiasm and appreciation for mathematics among learners.
b. provides opportunities for learners to engage in hands-on mathematical activities and problem-solving exercises.
c. foster collaboration and teamwork among learners in solving mathematical challenges.
d. recognizes and celebrates the achievements of learners in mathematics.
This is one way to learn math in an engaging and fun way. Let's teach young minds to love math and not to fear it.

East VII Catch-up Fridays continues to address learning gaps
To continue the implementation of Department of Education memorandum 001 s.2024 "Catch-up Fridays learning intervention program, Lucena East VII Elementary school continues to execute January 19.
The teachers will give learners opportunity for reading intervention and reading enhancement through giving learners developmentally appropriate reading materials.
Meanwhile the other half of Fridays will be for Values Education, Health and Peace Education which will revolve around different monthly themes as prescribed by DepEd.
Different activities will be provided to the learners. For primary levels, they are using By Station; For station 1; Reading of sight words via Piko, Station 2 : Reading of phrases, Station 3: Reading of CVC words and phrases, Station 4: Pagpapantig, Station 5: Pagbuo ng Salita, reading and comprehension check-up (English and Filipino)
In the same manner, the intermediate level with SPED learners hold activities like choral reading, storytelling, visualizing scenes, characters and situation, identify ideas, cause and effect comparison and contrast and supporting details to activate learners prior knowledge.
Shirley G. De Torres, the school principal together with the two Master Teachers Arcadio A. Bobis Jr. and Jellian D. Dionglay monitor the said activities.

Lucena East VII E/S conducts Catch-up Friday Kick-off
In compliance to DepEd Memorandum no. 001, s. 2024 Implementation of Catch-up Friday, Lucena East VII conducted its kick-off ceremony on January 12, 2024.
The program officially started with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Mrs. Wilhelmina Abelido, Faculty President. She then had her warmest greetings to motivate and boost the learners' confidence. Followed by the inspiring message of Mrs. Shirley G. De Torres, school head, wherein she explained the importance of having Catch-up Friday to further improve the learners' reading skills. Arcadio A. Bobis Jr. and Jellian D. Dionglay, Master Teachers, stressed out more detailed guidelines on the implementation of the said program.
Before the said kick-off, Mrs. Shirley G. De Torres together with the two Master Teachers conducted a meeting to the faculty to plan for the preparation of instructional materials, lesson planning and activity sheets to ensure that they follow the said memorandum.
Different activities per grade level were done like storytelling, spelling quiz bee, reading a dialogue and alphabet, story viewing and choral reading. Learners were very participative and found enjoyment in the varied activities.
"I enjoyed and learned a lot from my teacher, I really enhanced my reading abilities as well as my comprehension" added Jhon Paul Ufo a Grade 5 pupil.

The schools' players conquered their opponent in different events. For chess, Trace Aedan Y. Taule grabbed the 2nd place for male category, advancing him for thenCity Meet.
For the athletics, Girl Category, the Girls Category, the following secured their spots:

DepEd's 236,000 Trees - A Christmas Gift for the Children
In line with the Deped Memorandum No. 69 s. 2023 titled Guidelines on the Implementation of the Project "DepEd's 236,000 Trees - A Christmas Gift for the Children, Lucena East VII Elementary School supported the program together with the different agencies on December 6.
The planting activity held at Lucena East VII Annex was spearheaded by school head, Mrs. Shirley G. De Torres and Tree Planting Focal Person, Mrs . Jellian D. Dionglay. The activity graced by the monitoring team from SDO Lucena Mrs. Marla Katherine Panganiban AOV and Ms. Preciosa Marie Alba PDO II - DRRM.
Furthermore the Quezon Environment and Natural Resources Office gave fruit-bearing trees for planting. Mr. Edwin J. Cabriga, Farm Worker II - P6-ENR and Ms. Faith Ezaira T. Ponciano, Development Assistant II participated in the tree planting.
All the teachers, SPTA, GSP, BSP and YES-O members actively joined the program with a smile.

In accordance with the CID-LRMS Performance Implementation Review, our school developed and presented Lucena East VII PIR Video, highlighting different projects and activities for S.Y. 2022-2023 up to the present.
Different projects and activities were presented to our District PSDS Sir Donald M Valle, SDO-LRMS Team headed by Doc Anicia J. Villaruel EPS I, Sir Noel Rey Estuita PDO II and Mam Sayre Dialola Librarian II as well as all School Heads and LR Coordinators from East District.
This projects and activities were conducted and implemented by our LR Committee spearheaded by our LR Coordinator, Ma'am Rocelle G. Co with the guidance and encouragement of our dear school head, Ma'am Shirley G. De Torres.
The success of each project will never be possible without the help and collaboration of all the teachers and learners.
Our continuous service and assistance for the Kabataan ng East 7 will always be our number 1 motivation.

A school-based evaluation of LAS entitled Transition Curriculum โ Nutrition: Balanced Diet written by Maโam Geraldine Boragay, a SPED teacher, was conducted on November 23, 2023. The school-based evaluation team gave their technical comments and suggestions for the better development and editing of the LAS. They mainly focus on the editing of the questions, words, choices and illustrations as well as the aligning of the pictures and choices of the 31 pages learning activity sheet.

Lucena East VII Elementary School wins Second Place in the East District ELLN Quiz Bee, out of the 10 participating schools joined in the competition.
The representatives Gabrielle Klaire M. Mariscotes (Kinder), Amaranth Nyssa P. Dequito (Grade One), James Von A. Niegas (Grade Two), and Samantha M. Sanchez (Grade Three) showcased their literacy and numeracy skills as they strive hard to win in the said competition.
This Early Language Literacy and Numeracy Quiz Bee is an activity to determine the impact on the implementation of ELLN Program in school.

Lucena East VII Elementary School aims to achieve this goal. In response to the need of a physical conducive and functional library, Project SIPag 7 was developed.
This project aims to establish a functional and accessible library for all teachers and learners.
It was made possible through the partnership with our stakeholders, the parents and especially the Kiwanis Club International.
The continuous construction of the New Learning Hub of East VII Main is on going.

This activity is aligned to the ELLN Project KUBO -Kaalaman ay Uunlad Bumasa, Bumilang at sumulat Obligasyon ng lahat led by the K to 3 teachers.
This program aims to encourage from learning method while also enhancing general knowledge.Student can think outside the box or from diverse perspectives by participating in the contest.It is also a game-based learning tool that can use to engage students in deep and meaningful learning experience.

In celebration of the 34th National Statistic Month, Lucena East VII ES conducts simultaneous activities aligned with the theme, "Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Phillipines from October 16-17, 2023.

School-Based Feeding Program(SBFP)has been officially launched in Lucena East VII Elementary School started on September 18,2023. Today is the 3rd week of implementation.
As of now there are 95 learners, 53 from Lucena East VII -main and 42 from Lucena East VII - annex who are beneficiaries of SBFP from Kindergarten to Grade Six and SPED.
Parents of beneficiaries of this program also had an orientation recently to give them adequate information about starting a Feeding Program headed by Mam Analyn V. Lasprilla SBFP Coordinator.
This program aims to strenghten the health and improve the nutritional status of learners.

East VII commemorates 125th years of Escoda day
In order to honor the heroism and great founder of Girl Scouts of the Philippines Josefa Llanes Escoda, Lucena East VII Elementary School celebrates its 125th founding anniversary September 21.
With the theme โ125 Years of Living Legacy: Remembering the Life of Josefa Llanes Escodaโ, with its primarily aim is to create further awareness of her martyrdom and contribution to youth development.
Different activities will conduct. First is the story telling that remarks the historical milestone of Josefaโs life during World War II. Second, dramatization that portraits her life during hard times and lastly, giving donation like amount of money, groceries like soap, shampoo, sanitary pads, toothbrush, toothpaste and hair comb.
The program ended up at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon each grade level has chance to offer flowers for the photos of Josefa Llanes Escoda. Group picture taking will follow and learners can make selfie with their girl scout advisers.

The program aims not just to showcase the talents and skills of students in terms of innovation and discovery through creative, fun and informative activities but also to emphasize awareness on the importance of science and technology on peopleโs lives. East VII GSP participates in the International Coastal Clean-up
In compliance with DepEd Order (DO) No. 8, s. 2013 also known as โ International Coastal Clean-up โ(ICC), Lucena East VII Girl Scouts participate in the coastal clean-up at Barangay Ransohan Lucena City, September 16.
The International Coastal Clean-up Day is a global event that unites countries and people with one common goal: First is to show concern on the growing marine debris problem by removing trash/debris along shorelines, rivers, lakes, waterways. Lastly, gathering data on the kind and volume of trash collected.
Scouter Bernadette M. Furio, a school Girl scout coordinator along with the Girlscout members Scouter Wilhelmina V. Abelido and Vicenta Lailani C. Araja accompanied and guided the 17 girls scouts.
โI am very thankful because, despite the COVID-19 pandemic that we encountered for the past three years, the spirit of volunteerism really shows in the heart of East VII Girl Scoutsโ. said Tita Eden E. Reazo, a Girlscout President of Lucena City Council.
After the East VII Girl scouts recorded and submitted the trash they collected to the barangay officials they go back home safe and sound.

Mayor Mark Alcala distributes free bags and school materials
In line with the annual project of Mayor Kuya Mark Don Victor Alcala in the education sector, the learners of Lucena East VII Elementary School receives 936 school bags and school supplies, September 15.
A simple program held at Lucena East VII Elementary School Hall. Simple greetings and message will hear from a kindhearted mayor. โ I am very happy to give the free school bags and school materials to all Batang Lucenahin, because they are the future generation who will continue my legacy to serve my fellow countryโ. he added.

โWe are very grateful to annually receives school materials from the City Government because most of our learners comes from an indigent family. Itโs a big help for their parents to decrease their everyday expensesโ said Shirley G. De Torres, a school principal.
The General Parents Teachers Association (PTA) headed by Mr. Mario Boragay together with the members help the distribution.
