Exactly 3:57 PM the results of the voting were finalized.
May 03, 2024 is a day to remember. The voting for the 2024-2025 SSLG Officers started at 6:30 in the morning. It was organized by the current student council with SSLG Adviser Sir Gian Baldovino along with teachers, Maโam Jamie Polidario, Sir Erwin Estardo, Sir Rex Pabalan, Sir Nerwin Del Rosario, and Maโam Rechelle Gomez.
The process was tedious yet smooth as both the JHS and SHS are now combined in voting unlike last year. This year, there is a systematized voting system where thumb marks, signatures, and serial numbers of students undergo verified processes. The poll watchers were limited to 2 per partylist. After voting, students are required to put their votes on their balot boxes. Before going outside the voting room, indelible ink is dropped on the studentsโ index finger to avoid double-voting.
The Voting Process of Grade 7 to Grade 11 was Officially Closed by 11:55 in the morning. The Votes then are counted. It was witnessed by teachers from both JHS and SHS, as well as the poll watchers.
Before the results are out, 2023-2024 SSLG President said that, โSuper positive ako dahil either to two partylist, i know na kapag nareach nila yung certain level of learnings, I am very much assured na the organization is in very good hands and I'm very much sure din na through connections na naestablish within this year, mas magiging capable ang SSLG.โ
Each candidate was congratulated, not only the winners but also the ones who took initiative and showed a strong will to make a difference.
Not so-long after, the new set of officers for the Academic Year 2024-2025 are out.
The 2024-2025 SSLG Officers are is now leaded by President Jatz Princess V. Viduya (ASLAG). The members are, Vice President Albert Waynze P. Intal (ASLAG), Secretary Cher Haidee E. Last Wednesday, students and teachers gathered for the Ash Wednesday Mass at Santos Ventura National High School, which began at 8:00 am and was led by Rev. Fr. Elmer B. Salonga.
The event, which took place on February 14th, was organized by the school's department.
In a remarkable display of spiritual growth, SVNHS hosted an Ash Wednesday service, allowing students and faculty members to partake in a day of reflection and contemplation.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Christian season of Lent, a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, and repentance in preparation for Easter.
The service was held in the school's covered court, where students and staff members gathered to receive the traditional cross-shaped ashes on their foreheads. This symbolizes the biblical reminder, "Remember that you are dust, and to dust, you shall return" (Genesis 3:19).
As the school continues to prioritize the spiritual growth and well-being of its community, events like the Ash Wednesday service serve as a testament to its commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

HAPPENING NOW

In a momentous occasion, SVNHS celebrated a entrepreneurship milestone with the grand opening of its first-ever Gastro Market on January 17, 2024 at exactly 8 in the morning. What made this event truly extraordinary was the sight of Grade 12 student entrepreneurs taking the lead as well as the teacher in-charge Sir Kevin Gomez, Sir Angel Turla, Sir Wilson Lacson, and Principal Ma'am Arcely Flores with scissors in hand for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The anticipation leading up to the Gastro Market opening was palpable, and as the ribbon fell, cheers erupted๐ฃ from the gathered crowd. ๐
The Gastro Market, an idea conceived and nurtured by the young visionaries, unfolded as a vibrant marketplace of flavors within the school premises. From scratch to hatch ๐ฅณ, the market boasted an impressive array of options carefully curated to cater to the diverse tastes of students and faculty alike.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the student entrepreneurs shared their journey, emphasizing the dedication and teamwork that went into transforming their culinary vision into a reality. Their endeavor not only brought a fresh and exciting dining experience to the school but also served as an educational opportunity, showcasing the possibilities that arise when students are empowered to take charge.
As the path open, inviting everyone to explore the Gastro Market, the air was filled with a mix of enticing aromas. Live cooking demonstrations๐งโ๐ณ, themed culinary events, and a vibrant social ambiance unfolded, setting the stage for a dynamic and engaging space where the school community could come together over shared meals.
The Gastro Market isn't just about food; it represents a significant step towards fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and community spirit within SVNHS. The ribbon-cutting ceremony symbolizes more than the opening of a market; it's a celebration of the creativity, ambition, and collaborative spirit of the student entrepreneurs who dared to reimagine the school's culinary landscape.โจ
As SVNHS makes history with the launch of its Gastro Market, the event stands as a testament to the school's commitment to providing a holistic and enriching experience for its students. The ribbon has been cut, signaling not just the beginning of a new culinary chapter but also the start of a legacy crafted by the enterprising spirit of its student community.

ATHLETES: A Show of Sportsmanship in the Spikes Battle
In the heart of competition, where the thrill of victory๐ and the agony of defeat collide, there lies a sacred ground where sportsmanship takes center stage. Earlier, SVNHS hosted and witnessed an epic clash of athleticism and camaraderie as multiple schools faced off in an electrifying โก๐ volleyball match.
The match buzzed with excitement๐ as students, teachers, and supporters filled the school court with their cheers๐ฃ๐ฃ creating an ambiance of fervor and anticipation.
With our very own SVNHS-VB team, both female and male category, renowned their powerful spikes and unyielding defense
Moving on, as the players from all of the team left the court, they carried with them not just the memory of a thrilling match but the profound lesson that, in the pursuit of excellence, true greatness is measured by the respect we show to our opponents. The Battle of Spikes was not just a competition; it was a celebration of the beautiful harmony that exists when sportsmanship takes center stage.
Congratulations to the efforts of everyone!!!๐
Let's stay tuned for the next battle on December 16, 2023!
