Equitable universal access to health for economic prosperity
Sexual Health is an important part of a person’s overall well-being. Giving importance to the way we take care of our s*xual lives contributes to having an improved quality of life.
PROTECTION, CONSENT, and EDUCATION are three important aspects to consider when discussing s*xual health. Unprotected s*x can lead to various health issues, including STIs and the risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS. It is important to use protection such as condoms, contraceptive shots, pre-exposure prophylaxis, and tracking of the fertility period.
The concept of s*x isn't just about physical pleasure; it also encompasses having a healthy relationship with your partner and understanding the importance of mutual consent and communication. Access to accurate information on these topics is enriching, and applying these principles in everyday life can be even more rewarding.

The Tropical Disease Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with the City Government of Makati - Makati Health Department and Makati Social Hygiene Clinic, and the University of Makati, is proud to host the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2024. This event, under the theme "Kandila ng pagkalinga, Liwanag ng pag-asa," is part of a global initiative that began in 1983 to honor the lives lost to AIDS, support those living with HIV, and raise awareness about the ongoing fight against the disease.
This year's memorial includes a series of activities designed to educate and engage the community. From May 20 to 22 and on May 24, students at the University of Makati can attend screenings of short films about HIV/AIDS, aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of the condition.
