See you tomorrow on our DAY 2?
We hope that's a YES!
LECTURE 4 - PANEL (WEBINAR UPDATES) - ONGOING!
Pregnant patients have unique physiological changes hence, resuscitation techniques may need specific adjustments.
Dr. Ricaforte (EM physician) and Dr Irabon (OB-Gyne physician) emphasized that the primary goal in this resuscitation is to ensure the survival and well-being of both the mother and the fetus.
As for the neonates, this period is a critical time for transitioning from fetal to extrauterine life. Resuscitation supports this transition by ensuring that the newborn's respiratory and circulatory systems are functioning properly outside the womb. We are also particularly grateful to Dr. Grageda, a neonatologist, for the emphasis he placed on the importance of swift, effective action and the nuanced care needed for these vulnerable patients.
We hope that in the future, we'll be able to feel much more confident in handling such emergencies, knowing that we can make a significant difference in both maternal and fetal outcomes.
LECTURE 3 (WEBINAR UPDATE)
Hemorrhage control is a critical component of resuscitation and plays a vital role in managing trauma patients and improving outcomes.
Maam Sandi Vinluan-Canlica, a nurse and an emergency medical technician, did not only provide us with the theoretical knowledge but also discussed the practical skills that are essential in real-life scenarios. Your lecture is instrumental in preparing us to handle challenging cases with confidence and competence.
LECTURE 2 (WEBINAR UPDATE)
Ultrasonography (ultrasound imaging) has become an invaluable tool in the resuscitation of critically ill patients, including those experiencing cardiac arrest.
Thank you, Dr Ma. Diana H. Peralta, for your exceptional instruction and for inspiring us to appreciate and leverage this powerful tool in our practice. The session was enlightening and transformative, providing us with invaluable insights into how this advanced imaging technique is revolutionizing emergency care.
LECTURE 1 (WEBINAR UPDATE)
Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a critical and urgent medical emergency that holds significant importance due to its impact on survival and overall health outcomes
Thank you for not only imparting knowledge but also for emphasizing the importance of early intervention and the role each of us can play in potentially life-saving situations, Dr. Roderick Vito!
Stay tuned to our next lectures during our Day 1 Post-Graduate Symposium!
