On this National Heroes Day, let us honor the brave individuals who selflessly sacrificed a lot to protect our freedom and served our nation with unwavering courage and dedication. On July 11, 2024, VSAS conducted a seminar about the proper handling of exotic animals, which opened our eyes to the importance of caring for these incredible creatures and protecting our wildlife. Sadly, many people harm snakes simply out of fear. By sharing what we've learned and educating others, we can help prevent these unnecessary actions. Together, we can ensure that these animals are treated with kindness and respect, fostering a greater appreciation for all the wildlife we share our world with.

VSAS would like to sincerely thank the Untamed Guardians for generously sharing their invaluable knowledge and expertise about wild snakes with our fellow vetmed students. Your insights have truly enriched our learning experience!

Today we mourn the passing of our good Mu Etan Dr. Mark Wrinfred Gabriel. Doc MW was a friend of many, a source of joy and laughters. He is an epitome of work-life balance. He delivers well but never forgets how to incorporate fun in everything that he does. Losing him so abruptly was a shock to all. How could such one good soul, with a full life ahead of him, be gone in an instance.

Nevertheless, Doc MW will always hold a dearly place in our hearts. He will always be remembered within the parties that he would miss, in the plays that he would no longer take part of, and the events that would no longer be greeted with his smiles.

To be graced by your presence and to hear your witty remarks was a gift to all, Ninong Emdobs! Rest easy and guide us from up there. 🕊️
