PART 2 - DEBATE

LISTEN UP! TIME TO TURN THE TABLES.

PREVIOUSLY ON CALLIDUS LOQUENTIUM: The tables had indeed turned as the two-part seminar and Debate battle commenced last May 9th.

In collaboration with the RIZALIAN VALORS CLUB, we witnessed how Rizalians communicate and think critically on their feet as they battle it out to see who triumphs.

Our Club Adviser and a resource speaker, MRS. CRISTINE ALLANIGUE, alongside MR. DWIGHT ESTEVES, enlightened the participants and the audience on how to create a sound and constructive argument in a conversation or a debate stage.

Here are some of the captured photos during its on-site event. We acknowledge the wondrous individuals that participated in our event and those who stayed with us up till the very end to support their peers. Argue for the greater good of everyone!

This May 9, 2023, join us as we watch people argue... Professionally, as they use their critical thinking and mental battle gear to exchange arguments on several topics that would be a sight for interest.

Before the debate, a series of seminars will be led by Mr. Dwight Esteves and Mrs. Christine M. Allanigue. Let us witness if the teams are ready to Listen Up! and Turn the table to their opponent. So come forth, gather, and watch with us as we see them showcasing Talino, Talento, Tatag, and Taos-Pusong HUSAY Rizal!

Callidus Loquentium, also known as the Debater's Club, is the Jose Rizal University Senior High School Division's official Public Speaking and Debate Club. The club's mission is to train its members to be eloquent speakers who will effectively convey ideas that have a great impact on our society. In addition, the organization desires to enhance the students' debate and public speaking skills that they can use in future endeavors.

THE FIRST EVER JRU-SHS DEBATE IS FINALLY OVER!

Congratulations to Krizzia Bautista, Quinn Baetiong, and Yu-ying Cheng of H12A for being the first JRU-SHS Debate Grand Champions. We would also like to congratulate the debate's BEST SPEAKER, Quinn Baetiong.

Thank you everyone for participating in our event! The event would not be successful without the help of the officers, the club's adviser, Mr. Leo Cezar Caballes, the judges, Ms. Carla Ramos, Mrs. Hiromi Lascano, Ms. Hannah Costas, Mr. Hezekiah Perea, Mr. John Patrick Yadao, and Mr. Ronnel Usero, and of course, the participants.
