The term "Kamon" refers to a crest used in Japan to indicate one's origins; that is, one's family lineage, bloodline, ancestry, and status from ancient times. (https://doyouknowjapan.com/symbols/)
The RTU KCβs Kamon was drafted by K. Zipagan and was later on finalized on September 23, 2021, with the approval of the RTU KC's and the guidance of senior kendokas or senpais, Melduen Senpai and Lambert Senpai.
The kamon has 4 distinctions. These are the 4 Mengane, the Tsuba, the square symbolism surrounding, and its homage to RTU's logo.
[/] The 4 men (head protectors) symbolizes the 4 founding Kendokas (Zipagan, San Felipe, Rea, and Bucag)
[/] Tsubas are used for protection and the founders of RTU KC used the silhouette of a tsuba for they wish that the kendokas may find protection and peace when they do kendo with MKC or RTU KC. As well as preservation of oneβs self amid the noise and haze of reality
[/] These rectangular shapes symbolize the members who helped materialized RTU KC
[/] The gear-like appearance is a homage to the Universityβs logo.

An organization and a branch under the management of Manila Kendo Club that aims to reach out and educate students of the Rizal Technological University, the art of the sword (Kendo).
The aim of "RTUKC" is to establish the student's development in their personality and individuality, to build courage and strength through rigorous trainings with proper etiquettes, culture and spirit of the arts.
RTUKC members are active members of Manila Kendo Club and United Kendo Federation of the Philippines.
Our recruitment begins every start of the school year with the expectation that our members are to abide by our club rules and regulations.
