Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines, passed away on this day in 1896.

José Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda is among the most highly regarded
individuals in Philippine history. Known for his political writings that sparked the Philippine
Revolution and finally resulted in his ex*****on by the Spanish invaders, he was a versatile
philosopher and political activist.

Dr. Jose Rizal is well known for publishing "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo," two of
the most significant books the Philippines has ever seen. The Filipino people were given the
understanding they needed to start a revolution and drive out the Spanish colonists during
the time of Spanish colonization because of these written works.

May we all be motivated to reflect on our national hero's bravery and remember the legacy
he left behind.

Today marks the commemoration for all the faithful departed, also known as All Souls' Day. Let us offer our prayers for the souls of our deceased friends, families, and loved ones so that they may have eternal peace wherever they are.

Even though they are no longer with us, may we never forget all the cherished memories that we had with them.

As we celebrate All Saints' Day,

We recall the saints who have shone throughout history, as they have taught us how to live a life that is worthy of God's grace. These courageous men and women from all walks of life have set an example of faith, love, and compassion, reminding us of the many ways in which we can carry God's message of hope and love to the world.

Throughout the centuries, these holy people have lived as disciples of Christ, always mindful of the needs of others, sacrificing themselves for the sake of the gospel, and teaching us the value of humility and selflessness. Some have faced tremendous persecution and martyrdom, others have devoted their lives to prayer and contemplation; each one has shown us how to follow the path of righteousness.

October 30, 2023 signifies the day of "Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections" (BSKE).

Barangay is the smallest regulatory division in the Philippines. Nevertheless, being the smallest sector of administrative, should not be disregard by us, citizens of the Philippines.

As licensed and eligible voters, may we vote with dignity, integrity, and with an act of loyalty to our country.

Choose wisely, and vote wisely, Ka-Isko't Ka-Iska!
