REHABILITATION, NOT MODERNIZATION! NO TO JEEPNEY AND PUV PHASEOUT!

Youth Emancipation Core (YEC) expresses its solidarity to the people as we continue to condemn the fake and anti-people PUV Modernization Program and the Jeepney Phaseout on January 31, 2023.

YEC remains firm to resist the sham program as we believe it does not serve the interest of the people but only serves for the interest of local corporations, foreign manufacturers, and the ruling class.

We call on the youth in joining the ongoing struggle of the people against Jeepney Phaseout, and continue to fight for the the transport sector's livelihood and our right to accessible public transportation!

RECAP | Solidarity Forum 🇵🇸

"From the river to the see, Palestine will be free!"

Youth Emancipation Core recently concluded its first online event, "Solidarity Forum with the People of People." Let us recall some of the most worth-remembering remarks from our valuable speakers in their talks about Palestine and what we could do as FIlipino youth leaders.

24/11/2023

Time has always proved that the youth is an essential foundation in achieving freedom. Empowering them with knowledge and awareness is the primary step to engage them in creating a space no one should be silenced.

In this challenging time where the youth are victims of genocidal war, this creates a challenge: What more can we do as Filipino youth leaders?

Join us this November 26 (1 PM - 4:30 PM) through MS Teams for thought-provoking talks on the complexities of the Palestine-Israel conflict.

Servant Leaders for Social Change

The rise for the need of servant leaders who will dedicate themselves for nation building have been the priority of every advocacy-based organization. It is therefore essential to reinvigorate youth participation, and thereby guiding the youth for their development will strengthen their abilities and competencies. In pursuance of meaningful youth engagement and development, as an organization committed for social change, the “Emerging Leaders” is our initiative to expand youth consciousness and raise their awareness in social justice, economic and political factors including gender, race, and class in the society.

We believe that the youth are the proactive agents for social change- it is important to Engage, Empower, and Elevate their capabilities by providing a series of engagement sessions such as leadership talks, seminars, and workshops.

The primary goals of the convention are to (1) Puso, engage young individuals as agent of change in addressing societal issues, (2) Pangarap, elevate their personal competencies, skills, and critical awareness, (3) Pag-asa, empower them to become problem solvers and decision makers. In such way, this project is a perfect avenue to influence the youth to have strong sense of commitment towards an inclusive community. In addition, this project incorporates youth-led social change perspective to ignite and reinforce young individual’s understanding about their potential and role as leaders of tomorrow. This hopes to be the avenue in creating transformative and positive shift for social change.
