WHAT ARE THEIR ECO-CONSCIOUS EFFORTS?
Staying true to their advocacies, they have sourced out the materials for their race singlet, loot bags, and shirts to be 100% environmentally-friendly. For this run, all runners get to wear rPET or recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate, which were made from used packaging materials such as plastic bottles. Their hydration cup is made from wheat straw, which is quickly becoming a game-changer in terms of sustainable products.
That’s something runners in Tzu Chi Foundation’s Charity Run for Education can think about as they race their respective distances leading to the finish line. With their participation, they not only contribute to the futures of nearly 1,700 elementary, high school, and college scholars supported by Tzu Chi (as of 2023), they do it in clothing that is BIODEGRADABLE, RECYCLABLE, and kinder to Mother Earth.
