Reading Tots

Watch how proficient this Kindergarten student of ours has become in reading. We are amazed at how well he understood what he read. You can see in the middle of the video how he correctly answered all the questions about the passage. He also applied what he learned about prepositions from our lessons in the past weeks.

It's satisfying to look back at our past videos; he was just learning the sounds of each letter and trying to combine them to form syllables. But look at him now, he can read a short story.

She is our student who recently migrated to the US. It's wonderful and makes us proud because she is now excellent in reading and understanding what she reads. In our early days in class, she was a bit confused with the sounds of letters and struggled to blend them, but because she was determined and obedient, she quickly learned. She is now proficient in reading in English and Filipino.
Now, we can certainly say, that she is more confident and ready to enter her new school in the U.S. Great Job, Z 💕

Here is a video snippet of our tic tac toe (group of 3 students). This video was taken on their 30th session with us. It’s really amazing to see their progress in spelling and reading words/sentences/short stories. 😊

60 minutes per day of studying is really just enough time for our children to learn something beneficial for them. It's not just 60 minutes of conventional online learning but 60 minutes of teaching our children how to feel confident, smart, and goal-driven.

By the way , these students are still with us and are already in their 53rd session. In a span of just 53 sessions, they can already read words/sentences/stories that has long vowel sounds, consonnat blends, and digraphs. They can even compose their own sentences already and write them down.

We've been with this bright kid since his journey of learning all the sounds of the alphabet letters to reading and understanding a word, sentence, and paragraph. Surely, with adequate guidance, kids really become effectice readers and learners.

If your child has difficulty learning how to read, it can be quite tempting to constantly compare them to other kids who do well and put more pressure on them as their parents. But let it be a reminder that every child has their own time to bloom and shine. We can do this by giving them enough guidance and supervision or finding the right partners to help your child like Reading Tots!

We, at Reading Tots, believe in the importance of becoming a believer of a child's capability so that we can guide them even better. It might be challenging to teach kids how to read but we will teach your kids with great patience and love and establish a good relationship with them.

We don't only teach for the sake of teaching. We will always make sure that the objectives we've set for them regarding learning will be achieved and will be useful for them in different aspects of their lives in the future.

This video was taken on their 30th session with us. It's another proof that studying within a group is effective and efficient. You'll see here how they complete the sentences by writing the missing words and read sentences all by themselves with no guidance at all. I am looking forward to the day that I don't need to read and explain everything to them. Soon, they will be able to manage to study the lessons on their own, understand and accomplish task, activity, seat work, and homework that need to be done.

P.S. These kids can read stories already, compose and write their own sentences, and comprehend what they've read. What a productive month for us 😊

Learning how to READ, WRITE, and UNDERSTAND the meaning of the word --- That’s what we do at Reading Tots.

In this video, you’ll see how our students enjoy attending our Online Interactive ClassZoom. You’ll see how smooth the flow of their class is, how the students confidently express their answers, and how the teacher approaches and encourages her students nicely.

BTW, the students in the video were able to learn how to read sentences and even stories that include words with long vowel sounds, consonant blends, silent letters, and digraph in just a span of 20 days.

If the teacher has a good relationship with her students, they will surely show more engagement in learning.

Questions are very important to foster understanding. At Reading Tots, we value the importance of queries and most especially addressing them. We have actually received some questions from parents regarding our group class and its effectivity. Below are some of the questions asked and we have delightedly answered them for you.

1. "Is group learning effective for our child/children?"
- YES, group learning is effective. In fact, group learning offers lots of benefits for our child's learning. Through group learning, children are able to learn the value of communication, cooperation, creativity, and more. In addition to this, our kids at Reading Tots are grouped accordingly as to allow kids to perform task at their own pace and with their peers.

"Isn't it difficult or confusing on the child's part to learn the lessons in a group of 6 or 7 students?"

- NO, They won't be confused even if there are six (6) or seven (7) students in their respective group class. If the teacher knows how to manage the class and discipline her students, It's still possible to give them good quality education.

This is the summary of our 20 days sessions in different levels. We will make sure that they will enjoy the activities that we have prepared for them and learn many things at the same time. We heard a lot of good feedbacks from the parents and most of them enrolled their child/children again. We promise to do our very best to teach your child and make them reach their full potential. We are still creating
new activities at the moment. Activities that are interesting for the children. We will make sure that they will enjoy these activities even if they are at home during the summer. We cant wait to present them to you SOON! Again thank you so much for trusting Reading Tots.
