"A De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde capstone film project won at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ (CCP) 36th Gawad Alternatibo Para sa Pelikula at Video and UP Cinema’s Piling Obrang Vidyo XX.

"Beep Beep, directed by Raya Martinez and Iane Patacsil from a screenplay by Hazel Juniosa, took home honorable mention in the narrative category of CCP’s Gawad Alternatibo this August and bagged the Best Direction Award, Kidlat Tahimik Special Mention, Best Sound Design for Jansen Adarlo, and Best Production Design for Mei Abendan at POV, an annual interschool film festival, last month."

Capstone film Beep Beep from DLS-CSB bags multiple awards – adobo Magazine Directed by Raya Martinez and Iane Patacsil, DLS-CSB's Beep Beep garnered awards at the 36th Gawad Alternatibo and UP Cinema’s POV XX.

The Center for Sports Development (CSD) held a Thanksgiving Celebration on Aug. 22 at the Benilde Sports and Dormitory Complex to honor the remarkable achievements of Benildean athletes during .

The School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management was proud to host the first Br. Andrew Gonzalez Academia-Industry Conference with the theme Unlocking the Code to Global Excellence in Tourism Education.

Day 2 of the conference was held on August 14, 2024, at the Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle. The second day focused on giving participants and industry leaders a venue to present their ideas and services, as well as to connect and explore possible collaborations and partnerships.

Celebratory Echoes in Singapore: Benilde Music Production Students Shine at the 2024 Music Singapore International Competition
In an astounding display of talent and creativity, students from the Music Production Program took center stage at the 2024 Music Singapore International Competition, held from August 13 to 18. This prestigious event not only showcased the future of musical brilliance but also highlighted the exceptional mentoring provided by Prof. Ghira Casille.

Kyla Lim emerged victorious, clinching the 1st Prize earning her a well-deserved spot at the coveted closing Gala Concert. Not to be outshone, fellow MP student Jasmin Panizales showcased her virtuosity and artistic expression, securing the 2nd Prize. Their accomplishments are testament to the rigorous training and encouragement fostered under the guidance of their APPMUS mentor, Prof. Casille.
Integral to their success was the partnership with the chairperson of the program Prof. Patrick Frias who served as their pianist and accompanied them throughout the competition.

The competition not only celebrated the students’ hard work but also solidified Benilde's Music Production Program’s reputation as a nurturing ground for outstanding musical talent. Kyla and Jasmin’s extraordinary achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and a promise for the vibrant future of contemporary music.

Committed to global excellence in tourism education, the first Br. Andrew Gonzalez Academia-Industry Conference highlighted important discussions on innovation and adaptability, as well as unlocking collaborations and partnerships between academic institutions, industry leaders, and government agencies.

Day 1 of the conference was held on August 13, 2024, at Marriott Hotel Manila, with industry partners, academic institutions, and policymakers in attendance. More than ever, the conference proved that continuous dialogues, responsiveness, and synergy between institutions are important in building and creating a better future, not just for students, but for the tourism industry and the whole nation.

The first Br. Andrew Gonzalez Academia-Industry Conference is a series of industry-academe conversations that will be led by the different schools of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Its first installment, Unlocking the Code to Global Excellence in Tourism Education, is organized by the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management.

Held on August 13 and 14, 2024, at Marriott Hotel Manila and Benilde AKIC Campus, the event brought together academic leaders, industry experts, and government officials to explore how partnerships can shape a better future for students and the tourism industry.

This conference marks the beginning of a series by De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, starting with the theme "Unlocking the Code to Global Excellence in Tourism Education."

BREAKING: Benilde Real Estate Management alumni Genalyn Christine Tolentino Cruz (89.00%) and Julienne Carly Ramirez Saputil (87.00%) emerged as Top 5 and Top 9, respectively, in the August 2024 Real Estate Appraiser Licensure Examination.

Saputil and Cruz were also part of the Top 10 in the April 2024 Real Estate Brokers Licensure Examination, placing 6th and 8th, respectively.

The College achieved a passing rate of 66.67%, with 24 passers out of 36 takers. In comparison, last year's passing rate was 85.71%, based on a smaller cohort of 7 takers, with 6 successful passers.

The results were released by the Professional Regulation Commission today, Aug. 12.

The Benilde School of Environment and Design x DLSU St. Mutien Marie Hall Design Competition has brought together the creative minds of the two institutions. Three finalist teams from SED Architecture mentored by Ar. Moses Fetalvero will unveil their transformative designs for the ground floor and hallway of the new DLSU Mutien Marie Building.

On August 1, 2024, Benilde School of New Media Arts launched its new audio labs and studios on the 9th floor of the Design + Arts Campus. Covering 366 square meters, these facilities enhance collaboration and learning for Multimedia Arts, Digital Film, and Animation students.

A versatile 2.1 Classroom for sound lectures and large recording sessions
A 7.1 Surround Sound Mixing Studio for immersive audio experiences

"One of the standout experiences for Rizza was her involvement in the Young Hoteliers’ Exposition (YHE). This event, designed to highlight student talents in culinary arts, hospitality management, and tourism, provided her with numerous opportunities to showcase her skills. As the head of the judges committee, Rizza was responsible for selecting esteemed judges. Later, as the food committee head, she prepared meals for these judges and guest speakers. Reflecting on these roles, she said, 'With that experience, I was able to widen my connections and my network in the industry.'”
