We mourn the passing of Mr. Roberto "Bobby" N. Huang, President of San Miguel Brewery Inc and former member of the TUP-Board of Regents (Private Sector Representative). His remains lie at the Heritage Park in Taguig City. Our deepest condolences to his wife and our colleague (former TUP University Registrar) Mrs. Aida Huang and family.

Sir Bobby's commitment to serve TUP will always be cherished. Maraming maraming salamat po, Regent Huang!

We are guided to knowledge and enlightenment by our teachers. You work relentlessly to mold and develop young minds so they can realize their full potential. You are the unsung heroes who do this. Your influence is tremendous since you inspire a love of learning in each student as well as teach morals.

You have demonstrated incredible tenacity and adaptability in the face of difficulties and uncertainties.

Today, we honor not only your successes but also all the lives you have impacted and improved. Beyond the knowledge you share, you have a significant impact. You mentor, support, and serve as an example for your students, teaching in them the virtues of resilience, empathy, and compassion.

Everything is done on ensuring the delivery of benefits, providing protection for, and effecting the advancement of Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs)🇵🇭

CHED Comm. Jo Mark M. Libre, Chair-designate,TUP Board of Regents and Guest Speaker, delivered his message to the new graduates of the College of Engineering, Manila Campus during the 118th Commencement Exercises held at the PICC this morning, August 23, 2023.

Comm Libre, being a staunch advocate of quality education, enjoined the new graduates to become assets of the country and to carry on the learnings and values they receive from their Alma Mater. He challenged them (graduates) to be brave in upholding justice and truth as they fulfill the mission entrusted to them as citizens of this nation.

[SUCSTREND] Human Resource Management: PHEIs Pressing Issues and Concerns of the Present Times Amidst Industrial Revolution 5.0

The Consultative Meeting with Hon. Comm. Jo Mark M. Libre, Chairperson, TUP-BOR and the University Officials paved the way to a collaborative management.

The Teaching and Non-teahing staff as well as the Students aired several concerns. They were delighted and thankful to know that Comm Libre listened to them by giving directions as to how these concerns should be addressed by the Management.

The Board through Comm Libre and the Management ensures that the best service will be offered to the stakeholders of the University regardless of sector and status.

Mabuhay, TUP!

The TUP-BOR chaired by Hon. Comm. Jo Mark M. Libre approved several requests by the TUP Management headed by Pres Reynaldo P Ramos. The requests included the proposed 3rd Quarter Budget, proposed procurement projects, hiring of personnel, travel authority and funding grant to faculty members/ admin staff.

The meeting was attended by the esteemed members of the TUP Board of Regents, namely Mayor Maria Laarni Cayetano, Representative of Congressman Mark Go, Ms. Melanie Cecilia Lapore, Representative of Dr. Reghis Romero II (Representative of Sen Francis Chiz Escudero III), Engr. Allwin Wagan, Private Sector Representative, Mr. Zachariah John Belmonte, Alumni Regent. Joining the team were Justice James Cundangan, Atty Carlos Vincent Trinidad from the Office of Solicitor General, Dr. Nelson Cabral, President of MAST and ZPPSU and Dr Julieta M. Paras, Director,CHED-NCR as resource persons.

The new Student Regent in the person of Mr. Joven P. Garces, President of the Federation of Student Governments, also took his oath.

Our sincerest gratitude to the honorable men and women behind the continued success of TUP! Mabuhay po kayo!
