In this chaotic and uncertain world, my practice at Urban Ashram has helped me find focus and quiet. I love the diversity of the yoga classes I can take online (though I miss the face-to-face ones) and how all are challenging to my mind and body. My practice with the awesome teachers has taught me how to breathe and stay calm through poses…which I do in my daily life — breathing, being present in the moment, and finding peace amid disruption and distraction. Most especially, I try to be kind to and forgiving of myself because I do stumble and fall quite often! So, in yoga and daily life, I know to smile at mistakes, learn from them, and keep at it! JP is Urban Ashram’s Faculty Director and is our most versatile teacher having led YogaWorks 200-hour teacher trainings, prenatal and postnatal workshops and trainings, and most recently completed her 2-year meditation course under Jack Cornfield.

The Urban Ashram Yoga studios are located in Pasig and BGC. All are equipped to the highest standards: hardwood sprung floors, top quality mats, bolsters, blocks, straps, blankets, and other useful props for a safe and effective practice. High ceilings, skylights, and windows allow for natural lighting, while soundproofing solutions minimize external distractions for a serene yoga experience. In line with the yogic principle of Ahimsa—choosing the path of least harm—all Urban Ashram Yoga studios are also designed, constructed, and operated in an environmentally-friendly manner.
