𝑱𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒅 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉!

The 4th-year student of BS Petroleum Engineering concluded their first Plant Tour on April 26, 2024. They have visited two facilities, both gaining insights that were relevant to their program, Petroleum Engineering:

𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐎 — a leading contractor providing various services – machining, fabrication, welding, tool rentals, to name a few. This company has provided services to various industries such as energy, petroleum, geothermal, oil & gas, manufacturing and mining. The students were able to observe and see the following equipment used for drilling.

𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 — The amazing wind turbine, also a tourist attraction with its gigantic fan blowing winds, as if reaching the Laguna Lake. The 54 megawatt is estimated to generate almost 150 giga watt hours which can supply power to about 66,000 households in the Province of Rizal and the Metropolis.

Moreover, the students also attended a seminar with two resource speakers from the 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 namely; 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐨, a Chemical Engineer, and 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐅𝐞 𝐌. 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚, an Industrial Engineer. The topic that was discussed is about Cement Manufacturing, highlighting the real definition of cement and its process.

The day concluded filled with joy and enthusiasm of the students about the newly gained knowledge at the seminar in Batangas City provided by the Republic Cement and first-hand observed the production of drilling equipment at TESCO to another form of renewable energy such at Pililla Windfarm.

𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙗 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙨 𝙄𝙄, the team captain and is recognized as one of the Mythical Six in Men's Volleyball, and 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙪𝙯 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖 helped the men's volleyball team to a well-deserved championship victory!

𝙕𝙞𝙙𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙚 for his contribution which propelled the men's basketball team to another championship win!
