We recognize that some members of the community may need more time to recover from the effects of Typhoon Carina, so the Academic Affairs Office has also instructed all faculty members to provide consideration to students affected by the typhoon. Meanwhile, students who missed their scheduled exams due to the typhoon will be offered makeup exams.

Please talk to your respective course instructors and professors.

Did you know that the University’s main campus was originally about 2 kilometers away from Muralla St., Intramuros?

When Don Tomas Mapúa founded the Mapúa Institute of Technology (MIT) on January 25, 1925, he established the institution along the streets of Carriedo and Doroteo Jose St. in Santa Cruz, Manila. It was only years later when the University moved inside the historical Walled City, making the heart of old Manila its permanent home.

In contrast, the Mapúa Makati campus parallels modernity, having been founded only in 2002 at Senator Gil Puyat Avenue. To upgrade its space and accommodate the latest state-of-the-art facilities, the campus transferred to its current location at Pablo Ocampo Sr. Extension.
