In a world full of temptations and desires, you get choked with the trials and tribulations you get from it. So, when you meet these people, you get to breathe in and out calmly and solemnly as they remind you of Allah. Even just looking at them gives you coolness in the eyes. And every situation you are in, they get to remind you of Allah and HIs Love. This makes you clingy upon them because indeed this type of serenity you get from them is what you always want. We are human who naturally forgets Allah as we are constantly tested with life. This is why you must surround yourself with righteous friends as they can pull you out from the darkest and lowest pit, with the guidance of Allah.

But even if you want to be with them all the time, we have our own lives which we are responsible for. This is the beauty of this bond although you have these strong attachments with each other, you can easily walk away from it to fulfill yours and their responsibility towards others. This is where the phrase,”We meet and depart for the sake of Allah”

This is the love that Islam teaches us, a love that is selfless and handled with responsibility. The love you have for your friends is for the sake of Allah so you have each other for the sake of reminding each other in accordance to the Qur’an and sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). So when you are on your own, you have to fight alone sometimes as they have their own battles as well. Being alone allows you to know yourself more and you can have your own reflection of what life has offered you and how you have fought them, with the help and guidance of Allah. These reflections can lead you to multiple learnings of how blessed you are. You get to be grateful from your own experiences and in shaa Allah share them with others.

Yes, being alone and being with friends is something that Islam has put balance in it. As these two go hand in hand for a healthy relationship with yourself, others, and Allah. As spending time with yourself and others are all spent for the sake of Allah and in shaa Allah the bond you have with it will be a beneficial and blessed one.

So, my beloved akhawat, we meet and depart for the sake of Allah. May Allah grant you success and ease in your endeavors. May Allah reunite us in Jannah. May Allah include us among those who will have shade on the day of Judgement as we have loved each other for His sake.
