MHSD CONDUCTS SERIES OF GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONIES FOR 100 HOUSING UNITS IN LDS, TURNS OVER 2 TRAINING CENTERS IN MARAWI CITY AND LDN..

The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD), the BARMM's Housing Arm, initiated groundbreaking ceremonies for 100 housing units in Lanao del Sur and handed over two training centers in Marawi City and Lanao del Norte from May 7 to May 9, 2024.

Led by Minister Atty. Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra, together with the Director General Esmael W. Ebrahim, HHSD Chief, Abdulhamid Alawi, Jr. and Provincial Director Benjamin D. Alangca of MHSD-LDS, the groundbreaking for 100 housing units in Lanao. 50 units in Brgy. Kabasaran, Lumbayanague, LDS. Each unit has an area of 48 sq.m., consists of three bedrooms, one bathroom, a living area, dining area, and kitchen, took place on May 7(Tuesday) and 50 housing units in Barangay Daguan, Kapatagan, LDS, featuring solar-powered water systems and an entrance archway, took place on May 9(Thursday).

Moreover, on May 8 (Wednesday), two multi-purpose human development training centers, a two-storey in Brgy. Rorogagus, Marawi City, LDS, and a one-storey in West Poblacion, Baloi, Lanao del Norte, were turned over. The two training centers are funded under TDIF 2021 of MP Aleem Ali B. Solaiman, Deputy Chief Minister, and TDIF 2022 of MP Hadji Abdullah "Bravo" Macapaar, respectively.

The two housing projects will be implemented by the two said LGUs as per Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) signed in Marawi City and Cotabato City in February 2024.

Notable attendees included Dr. Marjanie Macasalong Mimbantas, Member of the Parliament (MP) and Sultan sa Masiu, Fahad Mimbantas Arimao, LDS 2nd District Board Member, Ms. Norjana Malawi from the Bangsamoro Information Office, and other officials from Lumbayanague led by Hon. Arimao S. Asum, Sultan sa Macaranon.

🗞 BARMM’s Marawi recovery swells with MOAs for housing, education

LOOK | The MHSD Lanao del Sur and the MENRE LDS participated in a recent Consultation and Government Data Validation on House, Land, and Properties (HLP) related to the four barangays in Marawi City such as Barangay Datu Dansalan, Sabala Manao, Dansalan, and Datu Naga. This event was facilitated by the Kalimodan sa Ranao Foundation, Inc. (KRFI) on November 16, 2023, at the Kalimodan Building in Barangay Biaba Damag, Marawi City.

The MENRE LDS' Land Management Chief vows to help and provide technical assistance to the IDPs through their available data base.

Provincial Director Benjamin D. Alangca of MHSD Lanao del Sur has briefly stated the ongoing MHSD projects in Marawi City and Lanao del Sur. He also reiterated some possible technical assistance and project interventions that may be provided for the IDPs by the Bangsamoro Government through BARMM Marawi Rehabilitation Program and the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development.

This public consultation is a component of the ongoing programs of the KRFI, specifically in the implementation of it's program on Inclusive and Democratic BARMM through Transitional Justice, Conflict Transformation, and Preventing Violent Extremism (INCLUDE BARMM Project).

This afternoon, Minister Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra and his technical staff participated in a Pre-Construction Conference with JCL/Brima for the 200-unit Housing Resettlement Project in Marawi City. The conference took place at Fahm Coffee in Marawi City.
