Isa sa mga nakakatakot na karanasan bilang tao ay ang ibigay ng Diyos sa atin ang mga bagay na naaayon lamang sa ating kagustuhan at hindi naaayon sa Kanyang kalooban. Sa istorya ng mga Israelita sa Book of Numbers, we can read kung paano nagreklamo at nagrebelde ang mga Israelita laban kay Moses at Aaron. “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!” “Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” “We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt.” (Numbers 14:2-4) This is not just a simple act of rebellion kundi pagpapakita din ng kanilang kawalan ng tiwala kay Yahweh na Siyang naglabas sakanila mula sa Ehipto.

Sa mga susunod na talata, makikita natin ang tugon ng Diyos sa mga Israelita. “How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites.” “As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say: In this wilderness your bodies will fall—every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me. Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. As for your children that you said would be taken as plunder, I will bring them in to enjoy the land you have rejected. But as for you, your bodies will fall in this wilderness. Your children will be shepherds here for forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies lies in the wilderness. For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.’ I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this wilderness; here they will die.” (Numbers 14:27-35) God has granted what the Israelites wanted. They chose to believe on the negative reports that they have heard imbes na magtiwala sa Diyos.

God has the right na parusahan sila. Matapos makaranas ng mga Israelita ng miracles upon miracles sa paglabas at pagtakas nila mula sa mga Egyptians, they still commit the sin of unbelief. God has given them His mighty provisions, mula sa sampung salot na dumating sa Ehipto, sa paghati ng Diyos sa Red Sea, sa provision ng Diyos sa kakainin at maiinom ng mga Israelita sa disyerto, hanggang sa mga haliging ulap sa umaga at haliging apoy sa gabi, hindi pa rin lubos na nagtitiwala ang bayang Israel sa Diyos.

On a similar occasion, we can read in the book of Romans 9, “God loved Jacob and He hated Esau”. God has a claim upon Jacob and He considers him as His child, while God let Esau be Esau, He left him na gawin ang mga bagay sa kanyang buhay nang walang pagtuturo mula sa Diyos. On the other hand, makikita natin na sa tuwing magkakamali si Jacob, itinutuwid Siya ng Diyos at hindi pinababayaan to go on his own ways. An indication of God’s wrath is giving us the evil things that we want “Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.” (Romans 1:28)

It is such a dreadful thing na ibigay sa atin ng Diyos ang naaayon lamang sa ating mga kagustuhan dahil madalas, ito ay hahantong sa kapahamakan. We should plead with God to give us what we need, not just what we want. So, wika nga ng marami, “be careful what you fish for, it might just come true” at sa bandang huli, makikita natin ang pagsisisi.

Hey, kapatid kumusta ka?

Oo, ikaw. Ikaw na patuloy pa ring lumalaban sa bawat hamon ng buhay kahit sugatan ka na. Ikaw na patuloy pa ring nagsasakripisyo para lang makasunod sa Panginoon. Ikaw na patuloy pa ring nagmamahal at kumakalinga sa mga tao kahit ang sakit sakit na.

I’m talking to you. Ikaw na huminto na sa pagdalo ng mga gawain dahil sa dami ng mga problema. Ikaw na nanlalamig ngayon, nawala ang dating init ng paglilingkod sa Panginoon. Ikaw na umalis sa Church dahil sa mga hindi pagkakaunawaan. Ikaw na nilamon na ng mundo at mas piniling bumalik na lang sa dating buhay.

Life’s been so tough ano? Nakakapagod, nakakaubos ng sarili.

But lo, and behold, let me remind you. Hindi ka pa rin kinakalimutan at sinusukuan ni Lord. Hangga’t ginigising ka pa Niya bawat umaga, He is giving you another chance na magbalik-loob at ayusin muli ang fellowship mo Sakanya.

One of the 7 Letters that we can read in the Book of Revelations is the Letter to the Ephesian Church. Ito ay kung saan kinakausap ng Diyos ang isang Iglesia na nanlamig na.

We can read God’s commendation in this passage: “I know your deeds, your hard work, and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name and have not grown weary.” (Revelations 2:2-3). God commends the Ephesian Church sa kanilang pagsusumikap noon na maglingkod ng tapat sa Diyos, sa pagiging founded sa Salita ng Panginoon. So as you, nakikita ni Lord lahat ng mga pagod mo noon hanggang ngayon sa paglilingkod. He remembers every sacrifice that you’ve done para lang sa Panginoon. He commends you with those, He appreciates you. Yung mga panahong pinili mo si Lord kaysa sa mga bagay na gusto mo. Yung mga pagkakataong isinuko mo ang mahihirap na desisyon sa iyong buhay para lang masunod ang kalooban ng Diyos. He never forgets. God also commends the way you cherish and stood firm in His Truth, at hindi ka nagpatangay sa mga gawaing masama.

God also expresses His correction sa Ephesian church when He said, “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.” (v.4) He corrects the attitude ng panlalamig ng mga Ephesian Believers. Bagama’t sila ay masigasig maglingkod sa Diyos at matibay sa kanilang paninidigan sa Katotohanan noong una, sila’y nanlamig. Nawala ang dating sigasig at sigla sa paglilingkod sa Panginoon. Maaaring ikaw din ‘to ngayon. Naaalala mo ba noon na marami kang pangarap at plano para lang makapaglingkod sa Panginoon? Marami ka na ring naisakripisyo para sa Diyos. Until such time na nanghina ka, sumuko ka, or huminto ka sa paglilingkod dahil sa mga hindi maiwasang problema. Nais ng Diyos na ituwid natin ang ganitong gawi, nais ng Diyos na ibalik nating muli ang init ng ating pag-ibig at paglilingkod sa Kanya, tulad noong unang nakakilala tayo sa Panginoon.

Lastly, He commands the Ephesian church saying, "Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.... Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." (vv.5,7). Nais ng Diyos na tulad ng Ephesian church, alalahanin natin kung saan at paano tayo bumagsak sa panlalamig at pagkawala ng ating unang pag-ibig sa Diyos. He is calling us to repent and carefully listen to His command. Let us take heed, bigyang pansin ang panawagan ng Diyos na manumbalik sa Kanya at magsisi sa ating mga kasalanan.

Kung ikaw man ay nanlalamig, lumayo sa Diyos o huminto sa paglilingkod, right now tinatawag ka Niya upang magsisi at manumbalik Sakanya habang may oras pa. God’s grace is unlimited, however may takdang oras lang din kung kailan Niya ito ibibigay at pagkatapos ay judgment. Hindi pa huli ang lahat sa ngayon. Habang tayo ay may pagkakataon pa, manumbalik at magsisi tayo sa ating panlalamig sa Panginoon.

God wants you back.

God still loves you despite all that you’ve been through.

It’s not too late to come home!

Nakaka-drain, nakakapagod lumaban sa bawat hamon ng buhay.
Maraming pasanin at isipin sa araw-araw.
Gusto natin kung minsan ng pahinga, ngunit hindi natin alam kung paano.

The good thing is, iniimbitahan tayo ng Diyos na lumapit Sakanya at makasumpong ng kapahingahan mula sa mundong magulo na ating ginagalawan.

We are inviting you sa ating gaganapin na Holy Week Camp this coming March 28-29, 2023.

This is a great time para makaranas ng katahimikan mula sa maingay na siyudad. We will stay sa Prayer Mountain, halina't pagmasdan ang ganda ng mga nilikha ng Diyos.
This is also a great time to spend with our family, friends at mga kapatid sa Panginoon. Let's have fellowship, makapagpanalanginan at makapagpalakasan sa pamamagitan ng ating mga patotoo mula sa Diyos.
Most importantly, this is such a great time upang makipag-niig sa Diyos, hanapin ang Kanyang kalooban at pagnilayan ang Kanyang dakilang pag-ibig sa atin.

So, ano pang hinihintay mo?
Makakapag pahinga ka na mula sa magulong mundo, makakasama ang mga mahal na churchmates, at higit sa lahat, magkakaroon ka ng pagkakataon na mas kilalanin ang Diyos sa pamamagitan ng ating nalalapit na gawain.

We are encouraging and inviting you na sumama, paglaanan ng oras at effort ang ating Holy Week camp. Who knows? This might be the last Camp na madadaluhan natin. Either babalik na si Lord, or tayo ang pupunta Sakanya.

Today is a great day to thank the Lord for His provision 🙌🏻 We're blessed to share food to the children around community through our feeding program led by our "Children Ministry" teachers, and May the Lord continue to bless the hands that genorously share for the food of these children. 🍲

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
