"To Jesus through Mary" is a message from one of St. Josemaria Escriva's homilies. As we celebrate the Nativity of Our Lady, we thank God for the gift of such a beautiful Mother and the privilege of calling her our own. On this special day, let us come together in prayer, recite many rosaries, and make small sacrifices, asking for her loving intercession to bring us closer to Jesus.
Mother of Christ, Morning Star, Refuge of Sinners, Queen of Families, Queen of Peace, PRAY FOR US.
We celebrate your hard work and dedication! May you continue to do good work and spread light wherever the next chapter takes you.

The Tata for Now note card set is a fundraising project to celebrate the 50th birthday of Tata Mapa (Woodrose class of 1991) organized by her sister Angela (Woodrose class of 1993) in partnership with the Negrense Volunteers for Change Foundation (NVC Foundation).
Why Tata for Now?
In the film βWinnie the Pooh and Tigger Tooβ, Tigger was supposed to shout βGoodbye!β as he bounced off. But voice actor Paul Winchell ad libbed βTTFN, ta-ta for now!β, and an iconic line was born. As a kid, Tata loved that line, and adopted it as her own. When writing letters, sheβd sign off with TTFN! (Tata for now).
Born with an artistic soul, Tata always yearned to be free. For a writing class assignment in high school, she wrote about a red balloon that slipped out of her cousin Monicβs grasp after a birthday party. Tata watched (a bit enviously) as the balloon bounced off rooftops, and soared up to the sky. Tata grew up to be a writer and editor, and during a writing workshop, she re-visited this idea of the story of The Red Balloon.
In 2022, cancer set Tataβs spirit free. But that wasnβt goodbye, it was merely βTata for nowβ. These cards, designed by Tataβs beloved niece, Carla Sebastian (Woodrose class of 2009), imagine Tataβs spirit as a red balloon, visiting some of the places she loved here on earth.
This set of 8 note cards with envelopes (2 designs) comes in a gift box and can be ordered online (P400/set) at tinyurl.com/35kzjj4j
For bulk orders (10 sets or more), please email [email protected], shipping fee will be waived for orders of at least 10 sets delivered to one address.
Proceeds of these cards will support the Mingo Meals Nutrition Program of the Sacred Heart Parish of Caloocan. Mingo is an easy to prepare porridge made from naturally-grown rice, monggo and malunggay grown by indigenous Filipino farmers. Mingo was developed by NVC Foundation in partnership with the DOST Food and Nutrition Research Institute.
The Tata for Now cards will also be available at the NVC booth at The Negros Trade Fair, September 17 to 22 at Glorietta.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Feast of the Assumption, commemorating the beautiful moment when the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken up to Heaven. This special occasion reminds us that she awaits us with open arms, inviting us to share in the eternal glory of God. Let us turn to Our Lady and seek her intercession, finding comfort in knowing that we are cherished in her eyes and the eyes of God.
