This morning, Birthright had a meeting with 11 future doctors from Ateneo and 2 students from the Muntinlupa Youth Advocates to plan and discuss the upcoming seminar on April about Sexual Reproductive Health and Diseases for student leaders of Muntinlupa City.

"Empowering Parent: Nurturing Self- Awareness for Exceptional Leadership:
Leadership Training for Parents of Children with Disability: Level 1.

The 3-day training for parents took place from October 13-15, 2023, at Foresta Verde in Jala-jala, Rizal. The workshop was attended by 25 participants from various Local Partner Organizations, was organized by NORFIL Foundation Inc., and facilitated by . Maria Theresa Dela Cruz, Clariz Fetesio and Gamee Avena of NORFIL. This training/seminar was supported by Liliane Foundation and Paul Foundation in the Netherlands.

"National Consultation: Development of the Strategic Plan for the Children with Disability, September 7-9, 2023 Foundation Training Center, QC."

The consultation seminar aimed to guarantee that the strategic plan is comprehensive, impartial, and takes into account the distinct requirements, capabilities, and obstacles encountered by all children with disabilities, including those from marginalized or underserved communities. Evaluate the efficiency and influence of current programs, regulations, and services associated with children with disabilities (CWD). To give priority to projects and measures that will produce the most substantial positive outcomes for the quality of life and welfare of children with disabilities.

On September 4, 2023, a significant assembly convened at the Pavilion Hall within Brgy. Sucat, Muntinlupa City. This gathering brought together with Ma'am Shella Tugonon and Sir Allan Tugonon and other Physical Therapist of CPReF (Community Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation), Ma'am Radha Subramaniam and Ma'am Mythili Balasubramanian of SSSIO (Sri Sathya Sai International Organization Philippines), the Barangay Workers of Sucat, and the parents of children with disabilities (CWD) residing in Sucat. The primary objective of this assembly was to inaugurate both the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program, the Home Visitation initiative and giving of rice and vegetables for the participant parents.

This event marked the official commencement of these initiatives, symbolizing a collaborative endeavor to provide support and empowerment to CWD and their families within Barangay Sucat. The overarching aim was to promote cooperation and synchronization among these organizations and parents, all united in their shared mission of enhancing the well-being of children with disabilities and their families.
