CSIS would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our stakeholders, donors, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to the preparation of our Drum and Lyre Corps during the Naguilian Basi Festival. Although our Drum and Lyre Corps did not emerge as one of the winners, we believe that the true essence of the event lies in the enriching experience, fostering cooperation, and the opportunity to enhance the talents of each participant.
Your generous contributions have made a significant impact on our learners' journey, allowing them to participate in the town fiesta and showcase their skills and passion for music and performance and instilled in them the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. The success of our Drum and Lyre Corps goes beyond the results of the competition, as it has brought our school together and allowed everyone to grow both personally and collectively.
We appreciate your unwavering belief in our learners and their potential. Your support has truly made a difference, and we hope that you feel your kindness's impact through our young performers' smiles and determination.
We would like also to offer our sincerest apologies for any shortcomings that the school and the teachers may have occurred during the event. We are continually striving to improve and provide our learners with the best possible experiences. Your support and understanding mean a great deal to us, and we are grateful for your partnership in this journey. Naguilian Christmas Candy Factory

Our lantern creation for this year's festivities is a unique masterpiece crafted from an assortment of unconventional materials and recyclable items. To conform with the theme inspired by the whimsical world of Candy Land, and we've incorporated elements that are both visually stunning and environmentally conscious.
At the heart of our lantern is a sleigh, made from old scrap steel matting and adorned with colorful candies made from scrap candy wrappers. The sleigh is pulled by a reindeer, but not just any reindeer - this one is a carabao, a traditional Filipino water buffalo, which symbolizes the main source of livelihood among Naguilianon which is agricultural production. We've crafted our carabao from recycled metal like steel matting and painted it black reflecting the true color, making it a true standout.
Our lantern's centerpiece is an Ilocano earthen jar “Burnay”, which is the symbol of the Naguilian’s main product “Basi”, surrounded and filled to the brim with an array of sweets, and treats made from old bilao, coconut shell, old toys, scrap candy wrappers. The burnay is made from scrap steel matting and covered with painted abaca rope giving it a simple design inspired by traditional Ilocano patterns. We've incorporated old plastic bottles, scraps of fabric, and even discarded paper to add depth and dimension to our creation. Few twinkling fairy lights were also incorporated to give it a magical touch during the night.
We're proud to say that our lantern is not only visually stunning but also eco-friendly. We believe that it's important to be mindful of the environment, and we're committed to using sustainable materials whenever possible.
We hope that our lantern will inspire others to think creatively and consider the impact of their actions on the planet. Join us as we spread joy, kindness, and environmental awareness through our CSIS Candy Land-themed creation!

We at CSIS are one with the DepEd in their mission to make a difference through this meaningful project entitled DepEd's 236,000 Trees - A Christmas Gift for the Children. This project serves as a gift from the Department to ensure a clean and green environment for Filipino children and future generations.
The CSIS Youth Formation Division was actively involved in the project. It aimed to foster a sense of responsibility and ownership among the students as they take care of the trees they have planted. This initiative did not only benefit the environment but also instilled values such as discipline, teamwork, and leadership in the students.
Together, we made a positive impact on our society and created a better future for ourselves and our children.

CSIS recognizes the significance of this month in honoring and celebrating the diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of the Indigenous peoples worldwide. It is a powerful statement to acknowledge and respect the indigenous people's sovereignty, land, and human rights. Joining the Indigenous Peoples Day means being an ally to the marginalization, discrimination, and erasure of indigenous voices and histories. It means to support and learn from the indigenous peoples' rich heritage and knowledge and work towards a more equitable and inclusive society.

Thank You Father Eric for the blessing!😊 The mass serves as a reminder of the values and principles that our school upholds. We were reminded to live a life guided by our faith, to be humble and to serve others. It also serves as an opportunity for us to come together (learners, teachers, parents and stakeholders) and pray as a community, to seek guidance and strength as we embark on a new school year.

Moreover, for the newly elected officers, the school mass served as a formal blessing and commissioning of their roles. It is a reminder of the weight of responsibility that comes with being a leader in our school community and the importance of serving with sincerity and integrity.

School mass before our induction program sets the tone for the year ahead and reminds us to strive for excellence in all that we do.
